That sucks, I've never had bad roommates, I mean, I wasn't friends with all of them and there was the occasional problem but nothing too bad.

One of my roomies is always finding reasons to touch me and hug me. Sometimes, she'l just come out of nowhere and put her hand on me and look at me. She doesn't do it to my other roomie/friend so we think it's because (her being an exchange student and all) she has never lived with/had very much contact with a black person before and I'm like. . . a unicorn to her. I don't want to say anything to her about it because I feel like she's just curious and I don't want to hurt her feelings.

There are always going to be people that aren't compatible when it comes to living together, but when I here about people who have had multiple roommates and couldn't stand any of them, I start to think the problem is them lol.

I wish all colleges would match roommates who seemed compatible. I know it's hard at big schools but they could at least group together two people who like the room at the same temperature.

I'm helping my friend in a couple weeks move out of the place she has with a roommate. The stories I've heard about her roommate scare me so when ever I go over there and I see the roommate, I just cringe.

The final straw was when my friend's roomie went into her room and started looking through her stuff.

The only bad roommate story I have is one girl had her bf living with us three days a week because he had an internship in the city. It wouldn't have been bad, but he was so unfriendly, never said hi, etc. And our door was across form a vent, so sometimes it wouldn't shut all the way, and he would just walk in and not even say anything to anyone, and a lot of the time she'd be out, so he'd just go sit in her bedroom. I felt bad for the girl who shared a room with her.

My friend had a roommate, who had a a guy friend (free loader) living with him, well this guy had a INSANE ex-wife, and three kids, and the kids were over half of the time. Later on, after my friend moved out of that apartment, I found out this guys ex-wife (and new boyfriend) killed his youngest daughter, and stuffed her body inside of a sleeping bag.

I don't do roomies but one of my friends & his wife recently moved in with a couple and their three kids. The first time I went to visit the place was trashed and I almost got pegged in the face with a dirty diaper the mom was throwing into the kitchen, in the vaguest direction of the garbage.

Needless to say, it didn't work out.

I can't get started or I'll get myself all worked up with rage.

I had a roommate once who was probably one of the most disgusting human beings on the face of the earth. I hate him so much that I truly hope bad things happen to him.

I had a roommate who literally did not know where Chicago was.

Then there was the raging bitch who became jealous of everyone but decided I was truly evil and made up this big story about how I was drinking her cranberry juice and watering it down.

And then the last bad one was a completely self-involved twat who was sheltered her entire life. She started having unprotected sex and thought her 4.0 GPA would keep her from getting pregnant.

I never had a roommate until I was 28. I'm a loner, but I started needing help financially. A friend I've known since kindergarten moved in with me and she was awful -- rude, disgusting personal habits, batshit insane, etc. -- totally different from how I'd known her my whole life. I'm still trying to pick up my life now that she's moved out. I'm twice as broke as I was before she moved in, and now I'm a mess emotionally and mentally. I've developed some physical problems that have, I think, been made worse by how bad I feel because of everything (My cat is scarred for life, too). Thankfully, another friend moved in with me and we are perfect together. She is like my heterosexual life partner, and is really helping me get through everything.

I have no best stories, but my worst one was that I ended up moving into this house with a girl I was friends with because I was about to become homeless (I was living with my mum but she was moving somewhere else and I had to stay in town for work, travel wasn't an option) anyway... she never cleaned, left her clothes in the washer for days at a time, left off meat sitting on the kitchen bench on a forty C degree day all day when no one was home and I came back to a reaking house that had no aircon. I ended up moving out within a week because the shower had a cracked pipe and would flood my room everytime someone had a shower and there was black mould underneth the carpet and I ended up getting really sick and nearly dying (my housemate didn't care, we didn't speak for two years following it and have only just started speaking now)

One of my roommates became a drug addict (coke mainly, but also heroin and pot and pills), collected guns, and moved a prostitute onto our couch.

... That was the worst.


The best was probably a few people I'm still friends with now. They have their shit together, like to drink a few beers, listen to good music, play board games, watch discovery channel.

My first roommate was a rich, spoiled pseudo-hippie with an idiot boyfriend. She was only with him cause he had a big dick apparently and could make her cum forever. But they fought really loud every night, had sex like animals, then fought again, etc etc. He would hit her sometimes but always blame it on her because she'd hit him first. I couldn't stand her but I definitely couldn't stand him. We got at it a lot, I even punched him in the face. She started cheating on her boyfriend with one of my best guy friends at our house. It would be my friend, then her boyfriend, then my friend, every night/day. Then she started seeing my friend but cheated on him with her ex. I just couldn't deal with it. I tried to accept these things but I couldn't stand hearing it/being around it all the time, and I'd always give her advice but she'd never listen and that always bothered me. Idk, maybe I'm an asshole but it's over with now.

i hated my roommate freshman year of college. so glad i live in my own apt now.

I shared an on-campus apt with 5 other girls and we split the 2 bathrooms 3 and 3. Well this one girl's bf who already graduated came back and lived with her. He didn't have a job and wasn't going to class or anything and just hung around all day when no one was there. And when his gf's bathroom was taken, he would shower in the other bathroom (my bathroom) when I was rushing to get to class and needed the bathroom. BIG NO NO, SIR.

Her best friend in the apt was passive-aggressive and would leave passive-aggressive notes around the apt that she cleaned the kitchen (which consisted of throwing out other people's food and putting people's dishes away where you couldn't find them) and acted like she deserved credit. BUT she didn't clean the bathroom ONCE in 3 semesters.

The other 4 of us got along tho.

I had to get a roommate switch because this bitch was dumb and gross.
I NEVER saw her brush her teeth. I saw her do her laundry once.
She was disgusting as hell. I left to go home for the weekend and when I came back her nasty panties full of discharge were on my chair and there were apple cores all over.

She was also DUMB AS HELL.
She asked if both of the Twin Towers fell or only one of them.
She was on a "diet" and would eat a whole box of "100 calorie cheese-its" and a liter of diet coke but thought it was okay because they are ~100 calories and ~diet.
She didn't understand why I thought Michelle Bachmann was a bigot.
AND she thought that homosexuality was the same thing as being transsexual.

She was also a bitch.
I was talking about how I felt like I didn't have friends here and she said "Well maybe if you lost weight guys will like you!"
Or she'd turn off all the lights when she needed to sleep. AKA 3PM naps and 9PM bedtime.


Thank fuck I switched roommates. I couldn't deal with her for the rest of the semester, let alone the whole year.

The only roommate story I have is that my first one was a hypochondriac. She'd just walk around with a thermometer and take her temperature every ten fucking minutes. I have a Pavlovian response of extreme hatred to beeps now. God forbid she get an actual cold or sore throat, she'd be on webMD and go "Oh my God, what if it's throat cancer? Do you think it's throat cancer?"

She also had boundary issues. I'm kind of territorial, so it would bug the shit out of me when she'd just come sit on my bed... or my friends.

Now first off you should know that I love my girls. My old roomates in the Disney College Program.

I had to share an apartment with 5 other girls - not including me. OBVIOUSLY there was going to be all sorts of whacked out drama. The roommate I shared a room with, whom I talk to the most now - we did NOT get along at first. She was pretty rude and I guess I will admit I am not the cleanest person in the world. I'm not messy but I lacked the basics of cleaning a bathroom. Well I get woken up to the other girls one night during the first month and she was writing an angry letter to me, with the door open, about how I hadn't cleaned the bathroom. She had been putting that Clorox sand in the tub as a way for me to know to clean it...bitch I still don't know how to clean with that LOL

Eventually she taught me how to clean a tub and all was well. I love my HBIC! (nicknames we gave each other...I'm GusGus from Cinderella)

Destroyer (girl from mexico, destroyer of emotions and diets) was our biggest problem in our apartment. She kept smoking in the damn apartment! She was the ONLY one who smoked! She was also obnoxiously loud and totally stole my oreos and poptarts! She did gain like 20lbs working in Disney. One of my favorite moments with her was when I went to see if my one roommate was awake and I hear a gasp from the other side of the door and I look around to her with a pie tin and a fork. LOL

Casper (for disappearing all the time) was our toilet paper thief. She was also kind of a bitch and one of those skinny bitches who complains she's fat all the time. HBIC and I would just look at each other (being the heaviest two in the house) like WTF?

MILF smoked pot, she did VERY GOOD at keeping the smell out.

Porkchop kept cheating on her diet though she didn't need to diet lol. She was very athletic
