EW, MTV & Metro on Britney Spears' 'CRIMINAL' Music Video

It’s crime time for Britney, bitch. In her new video for “Criminal,” her fourth single from Femme Fatale, Spears acts out a romantic heist/robbery/forbidden love with real-life love Jason Trawick– complete with multiple naked sex scenes.

The good stuff: Spears looks great — the weave is working for her and the video plotline has a fun story that isn’t just Britney slithering against a wall. Although it is a Spears video — there’s still a little slithering. Check out the maybe NSFW video below:

( CRIMINAL FINALLY UPLOADED TO VEVO: WATCH WATCH WATCH!!! )

I kind of really like it. Sure, she’s not dancing, but honestly, after seeing some of her recent attempts, I think it’s best her team decided to just forgo dancing altogether and give her something else to do: Sexytimes with her boyfriend!

The pair engage in steamy shower sex that puts Spears’ solo steam-room escapades from “Womanizier“ to shame. The woman who gave us Britney & Kevin: Chaotic certainly isn’t going to be concerned about boundaries. I’m not loving the abuse going on at the beginning of the vid, but it does give us the set up to allow Spears to be her sassy self: “So you’re not working the street corner tonight I see.” LOVE.

Other highlights: The explosive finish of Trawick and Spears making out in the middle of a shootout was pretty awesomely good-girl-gone-bad for Spears. And you’ve got to chuckle at the blatant Britney perfume product placement at :40. Spot any other Spears-endorsed products?

What do you think? Where do you think “Criminal” ranks among her other vids? Is it her best off Femme Fatale? (This writer says Yes!!!)

MTV: Britney Spears, Boyfriend Get Steamy In 'Criminal' Video

Britney Spears' posh but incredibly mean English boyfriend asks his lovely girlfriend, "Why don't we see that pretty little face of yours?" at the beginning of the "Criminal" video. That remark sets off a chain of events that will certainly leave Britney fans watching the Chris Marrs Piliero-directed ("I Wanna Go") video on repeat.

As Britney and her abusive beau make their way out of the party, with him yelling at her for standing up for herself as he flirted with other girls, they come across Britney's real-life boyfriend, Jason Trawick, who is playing one really hot bad guy with a heart of gold. The boyfriend slaps Britney, and Jason comes to her rescue, setting into motion their very hot — and very naked — love affair.

He takes her back to his place, where a headline reveals he's -- you guessed it — a criminal. But Britney doesn't seem to mind. She kisses him. He kisses her. They get it on, showing lots of skin and giving fans a sneak peek into their personal life.

They then head to a convenience store, where Britney decides to break loose and hold the place up, guns blazing. After the stickup, the pair steal a car and head back to Jason's loft for a very revealing shower scene that includes lingering shots on their wet, naked bodies.

As they wrap up the steamy shower session, the authorities close in on them, blasting bullets into the apartment. But Britney and Jason just continue to share passionate kisses as bullets soar around them John Woo-style.

Just when you think it's the end for pop's reigning Bonnie and Clyde, the police enter the apartment to see that the duo has escaped, unhurt, driving away on Jason's motorcycle. As the credits roll, everyone's left wondering what they will do next.

Shot in London in September, "Criminal" is the fourth single and video from Femme Fatale.

METRO: Britney Spears in x-rated romp with Jason Trawick in Criminal video

The pop superstar was criticised by Hackney Council when she was seen running from Stoke Newington Town Hall carrying a replica gun, just weeks after the London borough had been hit by riots.

But while politicians called on the star to apologise, Britney dismissing the accusations in a statement which declared the video was 'a fantasy story… which literally plays out the lyrics of a song written three years before the riots ever happened'. Now the full video has been released, and it would appear a gun-toting is the least controversial aspect of the promo, with domestic violence and steamy romps punctuating Criminal. The video starts with Britney at a party being violently grabbed by her boyfriend before breaking down in tears in the toilets.

When she emerges, her boyfriend is getting rather over-friendly with a brunette, prompting Britney to snap: 'I see you're not working a street corner tonight?'
Her furious lover roughly drags her outside and slaps her round the face before a mystery man ( Britney's real-life boyfriend Jason Trawick) rescues her and punches him in the stomach and face. Britney flees after robbing a store at gunpoint Britney finishes him off by kicking him in the privates before fleeing to Jason's apartment on the back of his motorbike.

There Britney uncovers a gun but far from being put off her rescuer, she leans in for a kiss before the pair are seen writhing around in bed together. Britney then turns criminal herself, holding up a convenience store at gunpoint before fleeing with Jason in the controversial scenes filmed in Hackney. The pair then enjoy a steamy romp in the shower, before British police catch up with the two criminals. Jason and Britney passionately kiss as police shower their house in bullets, with the pair seemingly doomed to die in a Bonnie and Clyde-style shoot-out. But when the police enter the bullet-ridden house the couple are nowhere to be seen, with a Brit police officer declaring that 'the suspects have left the building' before the camera pans to Britney and Jason escaping on a motorbike. While the controversial video has raised a few eyebrows it has already proved to be a big hit among fans, with many declaring Criminal to be her best promo yet.
