Leah Remini, one of the co-hosts on The Talk, revealed Thursday that she will not be returning for the second season of the show after rumors ran rampant that she would not be returning.
The former King of Queens star used her Twitter to set the record straight: “It is official: I am sorry to say that I have NOT been asked back on the show. Sorry to my fans. U worked so hard! I adore u guys.”
Remini took time to thank her fans for their support. “I want to thank you all for the fight you have put up. Man! You guys are awesome! It warms my heart 2 know u were there 4 me.”
CBS has not revealed why the decision not to renew Remini’s contract was made, but “it might have something to do with the fact that Kris Jenner and Sheryl Underwood are joining.”
According to OK! Magazine, the talk show will give Jenner a two-week guest cameo appearance.
Jenner confirms this on her blog, writing: “Hi dolls!!! I’m so excited to tell you that I have been invited by the producers of The Talk to guest co-host for two weeks in September.”
“I can’t wait to join the ladies and I know this will be such a fun experience. I’ll also be guest co-hosting on the Today show later this year! Stay tuned for all the info on that! Love you dolls!!!” she added.
Jenner will reportedly be a fill-in for Sharon Osbourne, but may become a permanent replacement for Osbourne as the show continues. Underwood will also be reportedly joining the cast and may stay on permanently as well.
The Talk, according toN.Y. Daily News, “is a talk show that focuses on motherhood, featuring hosts who give their opinions ‘through the eyes of mothers.’”
Remini is not the only co-host to not get their contract renewed. Apparently, Holly Robinson Peete’s contract was not renewed and she will be leaving the show.
The second season of The Talk airs Sept. 6 on CBS.

So only like 5 of us here watch The Talk, and of us 5 only 2 of us like Leah, but this sucks! I've hated Julie since day one and if Holly isn't coming back either, there's no reason for me to watch this flop show. This is just like Rosie leaving The View for me, tbh.
