Amy Winehouse 'Back to Black' becomes UK's highest-selling album this century

Amy Winehouse's Back to Black has become the UK's highest-selling album of the century so far.

The record has overtaken James Blunt's 2005 debut Back to Bedlam to lead the 21st century best seller list. When the chart was compiled at the end of the last decade, Back to Black finished in third place, behind Blunt and Dido's No Angel.

Originally released in 2006, Back to Black has had a resurgence in sales since the singer passed away last month.

It returned to the top spot the week after her death, while her debut album Frank also climbed back into the top ten.

The Official Charts Company revealed that Back to Black has now sold 3,259,100 copies, beating Blunt's sales of 3,241,118.

Sorry but no. B2B has a more defined and mature sound. With Frank it's like she was still finding a direction and ended up cramming in 1 CD whatever she came up with.

To each their own. To me, Frank is just an experiment of a still innocent and youthful street girl. The vocals and sound are still rough have yet to find its own color. Even Amy herself was less than passionate about Frank because she thought it's too commercial and she wanted more control over her materials. B2B is much more polished and refined, showing her maturity and experience and above all, she wore her heart and soul on her sleeves with this album. B2B also covers a wider range of musical repertoire. It combines retro soul, jazz, r&b and a slight touch of classic pop, bringing back the nostalgia of 60s Motown sound.

Again, different strokes. I've been a fan of her since Frank era but B2B is forever my jam and for once, I think the general public really know how to pick better album.

It goes without saying I disagree with all of that.
