Batman crew visits hospital
The Dark Knight Rises crew members visited the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh recently, to share some “movie magic” with the kids. Chris Corbould (Special Effects Supervisor) and Mychael Bates (Property Master) showed the children action scenes from Inception, James Bond, Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight. Corbould explained the special effects that went into making it all appear real.
Bates talked about all the little details that go into The Dark Knight Rises props to help make Pittsburgh look and feel like Gotham City. It’s great that Corbould and Bates were able to take time out of their busy schedule to visit the children. Check out the WTAE video report on their visit at the source link below.

PopcornBiz interviewed the original Catwoman, Julie Newmar, recently. Newmar is best known for playing Catwoman in the 1960′s Batman television show. In the interview she shares her thoughts on Anne Hathaway’s casting. Here are an excerpt from the interview:
“I adore Anne Hathaway,” said Julie Newmar, who is best know for playing Catwoman in the camp 1960s TV series, in a recent interview with PopcornBiz. “First of all, she’s so gorgeous, and there’s something so sweet about her, and I know that she has all these other [performing] abilities. I think she’ll be splendid!”Meanwhile, Access Hollywood asked Anne Hathaway about The Dark Knight Rises, and what it’s like to play Catwoman. Hathaway revealed that she’s wanted to play Catwoman ever since she was a little girl. Check out the full video interview after the break.

Anne Hathaway arrives at LAX Airport on Monday (August 15) in Los Angeles.The 28-year-old actress recently shared that she loves the Catwoman suit she wore while filming The Dark Knight Rises.
“So many great women have worn [the costume] before me,” Anne told Access Hollywood (via MSNBC). “It’s an honor to don the suit.”
“A lot of questions that I used to get asked were, ‘So, every girl when she grows up wants to be a princess, did you want to be a princess when you grew you?’” she added. “And I so wish I’d said what I felt back then, because the truth was, ‘No, I wanted to be Catwoman!’ And now I am. That dream came true, for sure.”
FYI: Anne is wearing an Elizabeth and James Strip Claudia Dress from the line’s Resort collection, in stores in December.
