Queen of my life and her cool shoes looking comfy out in L.A.



Well it looks like Parks and Recreations star Amy Poehler has had a memorable summer so far. The mommy-of-two not only served as the commencement speaker at Harvard in May, but scored herself an Emmy nomination!

With so much to do before the big night, as well as the season premiere of her NBC hit just around the bend, Amy found some time for herself to run a few errands in LA on August 9 (Tuesday). Looks to me like Amy was enjoying the California sunshine as well as some alone time.

because people love nothing more on this site than bodysnark and i always get so mad when it's directed at amy, even though i know she wouldn't give a fuck about it.

DOCUMENTATION MUST EXIST SOMEWHERE.
i wish they would film these performances because it's my absolute favorite improv show ever.

i agree, I wish the UCB theatres allowed video cameras in. In fact, I have no idea how that picture above was taken because AFAIK, you're not even allowed to take pictures there either. at least, at the NY one we're not.

that picture was taken by a regular photographer at the ucbla, she's worked with them for a while. i know they used to film a lot of things at the ucb la but now they just air podcasts of asssscat and it's kind of hard to understand them outside of the monologues, because a lot of the magic is in watching the physical performances.

ugh that sucks. i hope the UCB is planning on releasing another ASSSSCAT on dvd, because that's probably the best we'd get (other than actually going there, but i'm talking about people like me who can't).

And i'm really pissed at myself for forgetting to get tickets to DCM this weekend. i'm looking through the list of shows, and they all look fantastically good :(

The ones at FIT are sold out, but if you want to see shows at UCB, Hudson Guild, or Urban Stages, you can get a wristband anytime during the weekend! You were probably talking about the ones at FIT, but I just wanted to make sure you knew :)

I've been pretty bored these last 2 weeks so I marathoned Parks and Rec for the first time. OMG I'm obsessed, I can't believe I went so long without this show in my life!

I stopped watching it sometime in the middle of the first season because I hated it. When season 2 started, my friend started telling me it was way better, so I ended up marathoning the end of season 1 and the beginning of season 2 and now I love it.

Yeah right. She has 2 kids, works all the time at her flawless job, and is turning 40 this year. She clearly doesn't have time to become obsessive about her body image. She seems in healthy weight range - people need to back off.
