Sarah Palin's son Track and his wife of two months, Britta Hanson, are reportedly expecting a baby. The news was first announced by Gawker, who published photos - ganked from Facebook - of a visibly pregnant "Britta Pie" at what appears to be a baby shower.
It certainly looks as though congratulations are in order. While the reports of a pregnancy have not been confirmed - the Palins declined a request for comment from Gawker - if it is true, it seems very unlikely that the child was conceived within the last two months.
Rosie Pope, 'pregnancy concierge' and star of the Bravo reality series Pregnant in Heels, told the Daily News that she is convinced Britta Hanson is well beyond the two month mark. "I'd predict she is well into the second trimester, around six months, even seven," Pope said. "In my opinion it looks like she is more than four months along, as it is not customary to have a baby shower so early in a pregnancy and first-time moms usually take longer to pop," she added.
Whatever her mother-in-law might have to say about it, Britta does not look like someone who feels she has anything to hide in the photos. The allegedly expectant mom is beaming as she displays a baby's article of clothing for the camera, and is happily photographed sitting on a bed, surrounded by gift bags and packages in pastel colors (the abundance of pink makes us think it's a girl).
Track Palin and Britta Hanson were married in a surprise wedding in May on a ski slope in Alaska. Sarah and Todd Palin as well as Britta's parents were in attendance.
