Gackt Thanks Fans Worlwide For Supporting His Charity And Japan's Earthquake Victims

Japanese singer Gackt has updated his official website with a new message, thanking his fans and people worldwide for their continued support of Japan's earthquake victims. He also thanked everybody who was involved with his worldwide SHOW YOUR HEART charity campaign.

"To all my precious friends,
and to my beloved Dears,

Three months have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake changed our lives on the 11th of March, 2011.

Despite continued inadequate living conditions, people in the affected areas are starting to move forward with their lives. And let's not forget the supporters and volunteers who continue to help these victims in this time of need.

I extend my sincere support to them.

This disaster has affected the entire Japanese population, both directly and indirectly.

As one of the people that faced this crisis, I kept asking myself what I could do during these past three months, and spent my time trying to find solutions and putting different ideas into action.

Of course, there's a limit to what I can do alone.
And yet, through the help and support from so many of my friends who endorsed the spirit of SHOW YOUR HEART, as well as to all my Dears who worked together with me, we were able to help the victims when they needed it the most - one step at a time, one goal at a time.
Thank you very much.

I am also deeply grateful to the corporations and the volunteers that offered their support - thank you to you all.

I also wish to send a sincere thank you to all the people who, although they could not participate in the street fundraising, sent in their 500+ SHOW YOUR HEART message photos and uploaded their messages of support to Youtube.

I will make all of your submitted photos available to the people in the disaster areas by uploading them in order to the Photo Message page.

Although we closed the page to new photo submissions on April 30, I ask that you keep sending your prayers.

It's not inconceivable that a major disaster ill come sometime again. That's all the more reason why we, living in Japan and all over the world, need to take each others hands and unite our hearts.

My heart will be with yours, as well.

Children carry the future on their shoulders. May they soar high into the sky with their wings spread wide."
