Jermaine Jackson Reveals New Michael Jackson Waxworks Exhibit at Madame Tussauds Hollywood

On Monday, Michael Jackson's brother Jermaine paid tribute to the star as he unveiled a new exhibit of wax statues at Madame Tussauds in Hollywood.

The $55 million attraction, situated along Hollywood Blvd., next to Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, promises to be a multi-media "traveling extravaganza," celebrating the King of Pop throughout the years, from June 20th until Labor Day, on dates that will coincide with anniversaries for both his passing and birth (8/29).

The exhibit features three Michael Jackson figures that collectively represent over $1 million in wax sculpting, each from a different stage in the singer's career (The Jackson 5 Years, The Invincible Era and the “This Is It” Michael). Hollywood visitors will be able to see each statue up close and personal, as well as have their picture taken in front of each $300,000 likeness.

Jermaine said his favorite of the bunch was the wax-work of Michael as a child, as well as the most recent "This Is It" statue because of how it captured his brother's onstage posture.

"Someone was really paying a lot of attention to detail," he said.

Jermaine added that the "Invincible" statue of Michael as an adult (decked out in a cream-colored suit and golden shin guards) reminded him of the singer's youngest son, Blanket.

Michael Jackson's famous chimp companion, Bubbles, also got a slice of the action!

Madame Tussauds confirmed that Bubbles came out of “semi retirement” to paint the official poster-invite for the opening of the exhibit. The museum was so pleased with their new artist's work, that Madame Tussauds announced they will be making a donation to the Center for the Great Apes (the prominent chimp sanctuary in Central Florida that Bubbles calls home).

“Thank you so much again for including the sanctuary in your event and helping us to raise awareness and funds for Bubbles’ lifetime care,” commented Patti Regan, Sanctuary Director.

So adorable!

And yeah, apparently the creepy "Invincible" monstrosity is still alive and kickin'. Seriously judging you right now, Madame Tussauds. And Jermaine, HDU compare this to your cute little nephew Blanket!
