Rihanna to release YET ANOTHER album this fall



There have been whispers that Rihanna is already working on her next album. Now Ryan Seacrest confirms reports that the red-haired diva is back in the lab with a new project due later this year.

RiRi, who is currently making her way around the country on her “LOUD” tour, has plans to release her sixth album this fall. It would come as no surprise as she has put out five albums in the past five years, with her most recent project LOUD still spawning hit singles.

Seacrest spoke with the singer’s camp and made the announcement on his KIIS FM radio show. “We can confirm that Rihanna is currently working on material and will release a brand new album this fall,” he said, while also shooting down rumors that she is dating Drake.

Singer-songwriter Kevin Rudolf previously told Rap-Up.com that he has been submitting material for the as-yet-untitled project. “[I'm] writing some stuff for Rihanna right now,” he said. “I hear she’s back at it.”

I like her and everything but I also find it incredibly irritating when artists feel the need to put out a shit ton of albums in a short timespan. This seems like she wants to get out of her contract with her current recording company and is just trying to speed up the process by putting out the number of albums on her contract quickly.

i think if this were true, she'd just put out a ~singles collection~ like other artists tend to do in this scenario. i think it's more her and her camp wanting to stamp down a ~legacy for her, and make sure she's always evolving. she's kind of forcing her longevity, which is extremely smart on her part.

iawtc, and I'm legit not starting stan wars, but she has 37 gold and platinum certifications compared to Gaga's 15 (according to the Baltimore Sun) - and yes, they have been out for different amounts of time, but I feel like Rihanna and her team place a huge emphasis on this: constant new music, constant new hits, singles, videos. Because if she's going to keep competing with Gaga, Katy Perry, Kesha, Britney, etc, whatever hot new pop star comes next, this is part of what gives her an edge, imo.

Her management is obviously the best in the industry, they push her just enough to get her top 10 singles, and a solid fan-base, without making a misstep.

She is just working hard, because that's what she was taught to do in the beginning. She knows if she takes a break between albums it makes the charts higher to climb, like Bey and Christina are finding out right now.

that's only true if you are still stuck in 2007 and even then you are still wrong cause it would be 90% fillers. Rihanna has grown a lot by now, her last 3 albums are all really good.
