David Lynch is branching out into the nightclub business with a Mulholland Drive themed hot-spot in Paris.
The night-time haunt will be based on his bizarre and unforgettable 2001 film. Named after the film’s own club, Silencio will be launched in September.
It will reportedly boast similar stylistic features as those in found in the film, and will house a cinema, concert hall, art gallery, restaurant, and naturally a bar. They better stock up on Pabst Blue Ribbon.
It’s not yet certain whether it will feature references to the director’s other works. Although similarities to Twin Peaks’ haunting Red Room may not be a stretch.
Silencio can be found at 142 Rue Montmartre in the capital, while preparations are underway. The club will open its doors from 6pm to 6am, inviting its guests to indulge in 12 hours of Lynch-themed eccentricity.
It is expected to be a first class retreat for all Lynch followers, who are guaranteed to enjoy Silencio’s surreal nightlife.
