She's sold more than 50 million albums throughout her career, has appeared on countless magazine covers, and currently works as a judge on "The Voice," one of the hottest new shows on television. But if you really want to get Christina Aguilera's competitive juices flowing, challenge her to a game of Galaga.
The 30-year old singer, best known for her hits "Genie in a Bottle" and "Ain't No Other Man," confessed her love of classic arcade games on Thursday's Jimmy Kimmel Live. "I'm a huge gamer," she said. "Board games. Arcade games. I'm a huge game nerd. I have a mini-arcade in my house."
It's stocked with some classics, too. Among the titles in her collection are Donkey Kong and Galaga -- and when friends come to visit, one of the first things they want to do is erase her name from the high score list. "Everyone that has a little gamer in them comes over and tries to beat my score - and I get a little competitive," she said "People think 'You reset it!' I'm like 'I did not. Come on, let's go.'" This isn't the first time Aguilera has declared her love of games. Three years ago, she told MTV: "Target is an amazing store. You can find anything there. Board games... I'm a big gamer. I love my Nintendo DS. I love my board games. So on the road, [I play them] especially to kill time. Now, I don't have much time, because of my little one, to play those games. I play different games now."
Her favorite title at the time? Mario Kart DS.

I hate when people say something is their favorite of all time because they just recently watched/played it.
we lol'd
But I'm not an idiot. I know I'm not a gamer.
I just really enjoy her. (and your icon)
Also, add Mila Kunis to this list of being a gamer.
L.A. Noirevideo games?and Infamous 2make me wish I was not a poor college student. First chance I get though, I am going to rent L.A. Noire. I love dark, gritty atmospheres like thatlooking at you Heavy Rain.but the graphics in the game are ridiculous
i just started playing it
But lol, Christina. When I read the headline I was thinking: Does she even have time to be "a huge game nerd"? If you play a game thoroughly it takes up a lot of your free time. I don't know how I'll deal with the fact that Skyrim and (supposedly) Guild Wars 2 will both come out at the end of this year! And fuck, Blizzard even hinted that Diablo 3 might come out? (But I'd never believe them and their release dates)... plus on top of that my university life is really demanding so OMG.
Playing little funny games to "kill time" does not equal "huge game nerd". You'd generally rather make time so you could fill it with your hobby.
On another note: I loooooved the fact that Simon Pegg played L4D2 back when it came out and used to tweet about it. So cute!! (I think he played it on XBOX though, so I couldn't ever have met him)
I'm so sick of special snowflake girls who run around shouting about how their HUUUGE NERDS because they like playing Mario or some shit. You're not a nerd. You're like everyone else. And you would be a geek not a nerd.
But anyway yeah games are fun though.
But really LOL you seem upset by me being annoyed, does it bother you personally? Are you the type who labels herself a gamer girl? Just wondering. If that's the case and I've hurt your feelings then I can't say I'm sorry but I'll be sure to keep in mind the next time I voice my opions.
Yours truly,
ONTD.
Board games are fun stuff, bro.
Board games (and video games) in general I find turns even the best of friends into competitive assholes
I'm a huge game nerd.
I'm a huge game nerd.
I'm a huge game nerd.
I'm a huge game nerd.
I'm a huge game nerd.
Christina-sama-chan~
God, I'm afraid to call myself a girl gamer because I might not be hardcore~ enough to justify it.
i prefer resident evil, silent hill, animal crossing, and pc games like diner dash.
My 9 year old self would be crushed.
But I do like playing Gardens of Time on Facebook.
tho i played paintball yesterday and totally killed the other team, whoo!!! tho this one motherfucker was standing too close to me and shot me in the arm, then had the nerve to complain when i shot him from a distance. biiiiiitch get out!
jealous of people who know what they're doing
i get really heated bc i'm dumb and just mash 100 buttons at once and give up immediately
I've never played the Wii or Gamecube though, so N64 is my only connection to things like that, Super Smash Bros., etc.
