She's outrageously famous, always beaming and is one of the music biz's most down-to-earth stars. But behind the scenes this young singer's world has just disappeared down a black hole of misery - all because of her top-secret relationship with an older and even more famous pop star.

It started innocently enough. They first met at a showbiz do six months ago and soon started hobnobbing with each other at various starry events.
"She's young and really looked up to him" says our spy. "He's been in the music business for over a decade - so it wasn't long before she started asking him for advice."
The, one night after a celeb party, he started flirting with her and, forgetting her boyfriend of two years, she batted her eyelashes back. "their mutual attraction was palpable," reports our source. Before she knew what was happening, he went in for the kiss. "Sparks flew," laughs our mole. "She'd always had a crush on him. He was a star when she was growing up - so when they kissed she fell for him pretty hard". She finished with her long-term boyfriend almost immediately.
"She really thought this was it," our girl continues. "The relationship was pretty full-on from the word go". They started spending every day and night together, just chilling out. "But he was never necessarily big on romance," she adds. "For her, it was more about compatibility - they got on so well".
But, despite the fact that the man in question never stops talking about looking for that special someone, he wasn't in it for the same reasons. "He wanted to erase his dating bad luck and find love with someone on his level," reveals our spy. "But the minute she got too keen he was off."
So, just one month after their first kiss, he dumped her. She was inconsolable. She'd already been having a turbulent time with her family and home life - so this was the final blow. He really made her believe it was for real - and now her life has been turned upside down.
"It's awful," says our insider. "Since it ended, this once-happy girl has started to doubt everything - now she constantly wonders why everyone wants to be her friend. He's made her as cynical and paranoid as he is. She's so devastated that she won't even leave the house, and has been ignoring calls from her worried friends, too."
