if i (or any girl that wasn't principal) had ever referred to myself as a ballerina in my years of dancing, my instructor would have chopped off my head hahaha

Dancers? Personally, seeing as I'm not in a company or anything, I just call myself a ballet student.

thats do outdated. you can call yourself a ballerina if you want, it was only in the olden days when they wore romantic tutus is when you must be at the highest level to be deemed a "ballerina"

holler, don't know why I called it that.. just easier I guess. Definitely called and still call myself a "ballet dancer" not a ballerina

EDIT: I didn't mean to make fun of a baby. I meant to say it looks like she's wearing the type of glasses they give babies because babies don't know how to not break glasses. That's the only thing I meant. I didn't want to start getting The Fury.

I always wanted to do ballet when I was a kid but we couldn't afford it. :\ I was always jealous of the other girls at my school that got to run off to dance at the end of the day.

Wish I had stuck with more ballet-- my teacher told my mom I had a "bad body" and "bad feet" when I was 8, and my mom got really pissed and took me out.

To be fair, I do have the wrong feet/body for ballet, but I wasn't in some really intense school. I just wanted to dance :(

I love and hate ballet sfm for that reason. It's one of my true loves but it also messed me up for a very long time because of how ridic the instructors can be.

yaaaa it's hard. I did/do ballroom now, so I still get to dance, but I wish I had stuck with ballet, lyrical or jazz so that I had some techniques.

It just sucked they were so hardcore about it. I grew up in an area that had a ton of professional level ballet schools-- and I was at the commnity center. It's not like I entered class thinking I was becoming professional anyway. I don't know why they had to be so hardcore :(

I really miss dancing. Not ballet, though -- twelve years of that were just enough; besides, I wasn't really that good to begin with.

if she's a human being, it's coming, hopefully. it did for her sister. i looked relatively normal until i hit thirteen. three years of hell ensued.
