On March 5, country music star Blake Shelton scored his eighth No. 1 hit on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart for his cover of "Who Are You When I'm Not Looking."
Tonight, however, people were looking when a tweet from his personal, verified account appeared to advocate anti-LGBT violence.
The tweet -- which claims to be a "re-writ[e]" of Shania Twain's "Any Man of Mine" -- states that if a man "tries Touching my behind He's gonna be a beaten, bleedin', heaving kind of guy..."
Shelton currently also is a "vocal coach" on the NBC show The Voice. The other coaches include Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green.

lol wtf is wrong with you.. obviously he doesn't mention women in that tweet cause he WOULDNT HIT A WOMAN
jfc
It is not homophobic, the reason it doesn't include women is because it is not the same for man to hit a woman as it is for a man to hit a man. He can't just say "person" instead of "man" because then he is talking about beating women.
As in, he mentions men because he would not talk/joke about being a woman beater, he doesn't refer to men in that tweet out of homophobia.
