I'm so near sighted that I can see my eyes without leaning into the mirror, making it impossible to hold the brush. I fail.

I'm terrible with liner, I always make it look too thick and uneven, no matter what formula I use. I also have round eyes so I have a hard time making them look more almond-shaped.

I also suck at curling my hair, it ALWAYS looks like a ratty mess.

SAME. I'm so so so bad at it. My main problem is that I can't get the liner the look the same on both eyes. ARGH.

I have a small ridge just over my lash line...which makes it nearly impossible to get eyeliner neat and flush :/ It's so frustrating. I keep trying to do a tightline but it tickles too much!

you could try using a gel liner instead of a liquid liner, liquid liner is really easy to smudge and make mistakes and takes a lot more practice than gel liners.

Just a tip. Put your elbow on a stable surface.

I can't do eyeliner either.

i thought i was terrible too, with those felt tip liquid eyeliners and regular pencils gettning all over the place. then i tried with mac paint pot applied it with a small, flat (angled) liner. a brush makes all the difference, and you have more control. it works fantasticly, and i can't recommend it enough.

I'd like to think I'm a pro at it, lol.

Tips: 1.)Make sure your tip of your eyeliner is sharp.
2.)If you're having trouble with the part that curls up, try to keep
in mind that the curled edge is like an extension from your bottom
lid. So if you've filled out the part on your top lid, you can
draw on the curved part continuing from an invisible line you can
pretend to draw on your bottom lid. (hppe that made sense)
3.)Also to make it more angled and to acheive more of the almond
shape on top, draw the line from the end of your eyelid to the
middle at a slant. Making sure to end at the middle of your lid.
Fill in from there.

took me ages to be able to do the cat eyeliner and its mainly down to a good liquid eyeliner and a steady hand. Now though I can do it in one sweep.

You don't always have to start from the inner corners of your eyes either like it shows in the tutorial. You can always makes dots along your lashes and just play connect the dots. I find it sooo much easier to put on liquid eyeliner after I used that technique instead of what they usually show on tutorials.

it's really one of those things you have to practice, practice, practice. i used to be crap at eyeliner (especially liquid) but I kept at it and now it's my go to look. Done in 5 minutes.

i have a weird eye shape, so what i do is use black pencil liner, line the top eyelid with that, and then do the wing in liquid. easier.

practice makes perfect and the perfect liner helps. Some are easier to work with. Personally I like using L'Óreal Super Liner

I'm not either. Some girls get super into it, shading and doing it really well. My face gets so oily during the day that any eyeshadow I'd wear would just end up settling in the oily creases of my eyelids.
Plus I feel really made up when wearing shadow. Like I'm 7 playing dress up.

I always end up looking beaten up when I apply eye liner, my guess is that Lauren has been applying that since she first started wearing make up.

next time you want to buy her something, get her either mac's penultimate eyeliner or the smashbox cream eyeliner palette in metallic. or jet set by smashbox and the #21 brush. its kinda foolproof.

I did it as a freshman in high school and don't get why a grown woman would do it...

I only go for the cat eyes because pencil liner just does not stay on my eyes it comes off and hangs underneath my eyes giving me ugly liner wrinkles.

i don't think it looks good on me because my eyes are so almond shaped already, just doing normal eyeliner gives me that same effect almost
