Beyonce was one of the many A-list guests attending the Costume Institute’s ‘Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty’ Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City today. The busty beauty walked the red carpet wearing a skintight, embroidered vinyl dress that looked like a Tina Knowles Dereon special straight off the rack at Sears, but it’s not her questionable fashion choices that are gaining the booty shaker attention — it’s her red carpet behavior.
According to popular New York fashion blog The Cut, Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z were both booed for not posing for pictures long enough, arrogantly trotting away from photographers to make a hasty entrance inside the venue.
“OMG Beyonce and Jay-Z are being BOOED at the #MetGala for not posing for pictures! Yes, boo!” The Cut Tweeted live from the event. “Beyonce’s dress was so tight she could barely walk up the stairs as she failed to stop for the photographers. After the photogs loudly booed Beyonce for not posing, Solange arrived and they shouted, ‘Don’t shoot her. She can tell her sister.’ And now everyone is cheering for Madonna! #MetGala.”
But as you can clearly see above, there’s a photo of Beyonce giving a forced smile before shuffling off inside. It seems she did pose briefly, but didn’t provide photographers with the ample amount of time they needed in order to get a flattering snap of her.
You’d think that Beyonce would be trying to snatch up all the red carpet time that she could considering the status of her new single “Run the World (Girls)”. The song is currently No. 48 on iTunes — 17 spots lower than Kelly Rowland’s “Motivation”.
