YouTubing the Oscars

The Opening to the Oscars
From the opening to his monologue to the Cowboy Movies Are Not Gay At All Montage

Best Actress Spoofs

Tom Hanks shows how to accept an Oscar and Ben Stiller presents Visual Effects
Two of the handful of times the audience on the floor were actually laughing.

Lilly Tomlin and Meryl Streep presenting
"Not Scripting" at it's finest...or maybe not (And yes I get the Robert Altman joke. It's still not funny)

Steve Carrell and Will Ferrell presenting Best Makeup

Jennifer Garner trips but saves. Then presents Sound Editing.
It's a bit surprising that this doesn't happen more often.

Dolly Parton performance
Should have won

Three 6 Mafia performance
Notice lack of Terrence Howard

Best Original Song: Three 6 Mafia - Hard Out Here For A Pimp
Funniest thing that has ever happened to the Oscars. Beats that naked guy that ran up stage.

Best Score Award: Brokeback Mountain
At least it won three awards including this one.

Best Supporting Actor: George Clooney
I'm happy he won. That means I can look and hear him longer.

Best Actress: Reese Witherspoon
A very long speech that talks about her entire family tree and strong women.

Achievement in Directing: Ang Lee
He didn't thank the cast and crew at all.

Best Picture of the Year: Crash
No words. No words. Except these, I mean.

Jake Gyllenhaal Interview at Red Carpet (Beware of bad quality)
let's face it: it's not a day on ONTD without a mention of Jake

George Clooney after the Oscars
Yeah so I want to see more George. Sue me.

If you find any more on YouTube, just comment with a link and I'll add it.

purplerains 6th-Mar-2006 06:45 pm (UTC)
Amen. Love the Crash, and okay with the BBM. Overhyped x100.
chung_____chung 6th-Mar-2006 06:49 pm (UTC)
i feel like bbm could have won if it wasnt overhyped.

but it srsly was not the best movie of the year. crash was better, and more unique
vellise8 6th-Mar-2006 06:41 pm (UTC)

and george clooney is my future husband.
beaute__exquise 6th-Mar-2006 07:12 pm (UTC)
They all really did look estatic. I'm pretty sure Ryan ran over to them as soon as JN announced it.
genoworld 6th-Mar-2006 06:45 pm (UTC)
Oh damn, now that you've found all of them, what am I going to do before class starts? lol
rhapsody 6th-Mar-2006 07:11 pm (UTC)

Amen to that
nadsatshoot 6th-Mar-2006 06:46 pm (UTC)
Lily Tomlin's comment about Nashville made me laugh, but the rest of that was kind of not funny, but I think the people there were just desperate for something they could laugh at since they clearly weren't thrilled with Jon Stewart.
cdsdralion 6th-Mar-2006 06:47 pm (UTC)
Lily and Meryl kick lots of ass and Dolly is amazing...she should have won.

I think she was nominated in '82 or '83 for 9 to 5, does anyone know if she won it?
kyssen 6th-Mar-2006 07:37 pm (UTC)
Nope, she didn't win.
tanya1976 6th-Mar-2006 10:45 pm (UTC)
1981
lonelyholiday 6th-Mar-2006 06:51 pm (UTC)
You can find Reese's win if you search for Reese Witherspoon Oscar... I looked it up earlier for my cousin who missed it. :)

(I also found Elliott Smith's Oscar performance from 1998. I miss him.)
rhapsody 6th-Mar-2006 06:52 pm (UTC)
just found it. Thanks. I was looking under best actress. I should have thought of putting her name lol
_vidunder 6th-Mar-2006 06:53 pm (UTC)
George in a bed is priceless.
mercurywingspan 6th-Mar-2006 07:12 pm (UTC)

estellegetty 6th-Mar-2006 06:56 pm (UTC)
Does anyone have Best Actor? I need to overanaylze Joaquain's "I love you", haha.

And needless to say, I'm going to watch 3 6 Mafia's acceptance speech over and over and over again.
rhapsody 6th-Mar-2006 07:07 pm (UTC)
That was one of the first things I was looking for but so far nothing.
chung_____chung 6th-Mar-2006 07:16 pm (UTC)
a lot of people are saying he said "i love you river"
whthfck 6th-Mar-2006 07:48 pm (UTC)
Did Joaquin win?!
rockxroyalty 6th-Mar-2006 08:12 pm (UTC)
no. philip seymour hofman *sp* did.
estellegetty 6th-Mar-2006 08:21 pm (UTC)
No, but when they were announcing nominations, they panned in on Joaquin, and he mouthed "I love you" to someone (most people are saying River).
mekane 7th-Mar-2006 05:46 pm (UTC)
I found this clip of joaquin's nomination: http://youtube.com/watch?v=71jmFKjdIJ4
