'Glee': Max Adler (Karofsky) interested in 'Hunger Games' starring role

Max Adler has made a name for himself as the hated yet empathetic character Karofsky on "Glee." But the 25-year-old actor is looking to branch out from the small screen.

On Saturday, Max discretely made his play for landing a role in the film adaptation of "The Hunger Games."

"I would so LOVE to play Cato in 'The Hunger Games' movie! Any fans of the book agree? Let's put it out there into the Universe please! Thx!"

"The Hunger Games" was published in 2008 and is now being made into a feature film. According to an article in Entertainment Weekly on Saturday, Robert Pattinson is also a fan. "I sort of came across it last year, and I didn’t realize it was the most enormous thing in the year," he admitted. "It’s good! It will be a good movie."
Which actors would you like to see take on a role in this film? Do you agree that Max would make a good Cato?

Same here, Peeta in my mind was always built like him. I would totally love this. Yeah I totally didn't read the post very well... idk he would be great in the movie, I like this actor.

IA with the first part, I picture Peeta as a big teddy bear kind of guy. I know they'll cast a Buffs McBufferson type of build instead but I like cuddly Peeta.

i was thinking your crossed out part before i read the post. but his body type is definitely more like peeta than any of those other people they've talked about.
xdecadentx 28th-Mar-2011 09:41 am (UTC)
Same, I saw Peeta as more like him than anyone else they're thinking of casting.

should i read the hunger games?

i can't decideee.
baruchel 28th-Mar-2011 03:07 am (UTC)
yes. some people will tell you to read the first one cause the last two suck but i think they are all worth a read
bloody_hell 28th-Mar-2011 03:07 am (UTC)
They are fun quick reads, I enjoyed them
crazylike_afox 28th-Mar-2011 03:13 am (UTC)
I'd read them. They're not brilliant by any means and I personally couldn't stand the main character but the story is really interesting. They're really quick reads as well.
missy_jess 28th-Mar-2011 03:19 am (UTC)
Yes! I read them because I love dystopian sci-fi, and I really enjoyed them. They're not ~groundbreaking~ or anything, but they're quick and fun.
rainbow_fish 28th-Mar-2011 04:43 am (UTC)
omg I love dystopian teen lit, NO SHAME

I just started "Across the Universe" last night.
ashe_frost 28th-Mar-2011 03:28 am (UTC)
They're addictive and a really fun "what happens next!?!" read. Interesting and I didn't find them hugely predictable, for the most part.
rainbow_fish 28th-Mar-2011 04:42 am (UTC)

Honestly, I wasn't sure either, so I sat down one afternoon and started reading The Hunger Games. Honestly, I didn't stop reading until like 6 am the next morning, when I finished it.

meganalice07 28th-Mar-2011 04:53 am (UTC)
it took me forever to actually set down and read them because of all the hype but they really are good. they're super addictive.
principlvaliant 28th-Mar-2011 06:27 am (UTC)
Yes yes. I am re-reading them now, they are fun books!
elcynic619 Sure28th-Mar-2011 07:02 am (UTC)
I read the first one over the weekend, quite liked it. Like kinda like a baby Handmaids Tale. In a very very very distant way.
miakun 28th-Mar-2011 07:57 am (UTC)
Yes! Just don't get over hyped about them. They are really above average YA novels and I loved the first and second one and the third one has some good stuff and some bad stuff (which is really disappointing in terms of what you were expecting and I still think it could have been fixed if she'd taken an extra six months to go over the last book)! But they're totally fun (and depressing) reads.
milkradio 28th-Mar-2011 01:52 pm (UTC)
Yes. You can read the whole thing in like 3 days. It's enjoyable and full of action and almost every chapter ends in a cliffhanger. It's not ~great lit~ or anything, but it's fun imo and if you don't like it, well, you won't have wasted too much time on it since they're such quick reads.
itsnoelle 28th-Mar-2011 03:26 pm (UTC)
YES read all of the books
notoriousreign 28th-Mar-2011 03:10 am (UTC)

This came up on my inbox and the picture didn't load, so I didn't see the title and all I saw was "AS PEETA" and I was ready to shit a brick. And then I read the title and was like "Ooooohhh, I already heard this all over Tumblr!"

charlie 28th-Mar-2011 03:10 am (UTC)
can they announce who's playing peeta already. DRIVING ME CRAZY.
kitgraham 28th-Mar-2011 03:11 am (UTC)
I always feel bad for actors when they "fish" in this way, but he's not a half-bad actor on Glee and I'd like to see what else he's capable of...
drbat 28th-Mar-2011 03:13 am (UTC)
Yeah, and isn't that how Quinto got the role of Spock?
rainbow_fish 28th-Mar-2011 04:43 am (UTC)
haha, is it really?
