Greetings from PaleyFest
Hello again everyone. Just got back to my hotel after the Supernatural panel at PaleyFest so I thought I'd share pictures and tidbits like I did late last night for the Freaks and Geeks / Undeclared panel. Truthfully, the panel yesterday was completely different just in the general tone and I thought this one would in no way live up to it. While it was a different environment all together it was still pretty great although most of that in my opinion had to do with Eric Kripke's presence on stage.
Surprisingly, the fan questions were not nearly as cringe worthy as those from the night before which overall surprised me (and I say this as a huge Supernatural fan).

After introductions by both TV Guide and a critic from AOL, Sera Gamble took the stage and introduced the video clip that we all watched. It included extended scenes and a mini gag reel for "The French Mistake" - which was hilarious - as well as some clips from the next episode of Supernatural which looks great!

Misha Collins is never one to disappoint.

"Swan Song", while it seemed like a great way to end the series, was not all that Kripke had ever thought of for the finale of the show and it was more of a way to wrap up the apocalypse arc. He has a specific plan and coda as to where the characters are going to end and it has not happened on the show and he plans on using it when it does actually end.

There was a lot of talk about "The French Mistake". Misha said he sent an e-mail specifically requesting that they make the character of Misha super douchey. He didn't end up being a big of a tool as Misha had hoped but he still liked how it turned out.

Jim Beaver is my favorite. Enough said.

The fact that women are always killed off on the show was brought up to which they replied that really they kill everyone not just women. The only people that are safe from being killed are the writers which isn't even true anymore since they killed off Kripke in "The French Mistake".

If Misha could go back and redo anything he said he wouldn't use the voice he does for Castiel. He made the choice because in "Lazarus Rising" Castiel's voice trying to reach Dean was powerful and blowing out windows and he thought it should sound as such but now he wishes he hadn't made the choice since he has to continue doing it. Jensen said when Misha first spoke in the Cas voice he had no idea what Misha was doing and him and Jared thought he was really weird and intense at first since he always looked like he was thinking about something or preparing intently. Then they realized it was just his face. :-X

The character of Bobby was a happy accident. In the season one finale Sam and Dean were supposed to go to Missouri for help but Loretta Devine had a scheduling conflict and couldn't do the episode. So they decided to make a male friend of John's instead which ended up being Bobby. Bobby's original name was Bobby Manners - a combination of Robert Singer and Kim Manners - but they couldn't get the clearance to the name as there was an actual Bobby Singer living in that area at the time so Kripke named him Bobby Singer instead while producer Robert Singer was out of the office. They are open to bringing Missouri back.

I'm out of witty commentary. Instead enjoy Jensen's pretty face.

URGH
WILL WORK FOR DEAN. .... ANYTIME.
LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Thank you for this I haven't seen any of the actual press stuff from the event yet.
No lie I took a nap after I hit submit for this post. :-X
Misha looks good. And I like his lulzy Castiel voice.
I find Kripke's optimism comforting.
what is my life?
Awesome.
His voice is so high, it's like his testes hadn't descended yet.

anyway, he looked hot blonde. he was also in a film liberty heights with ben foster and adrien brody back in like 1994 and he had one line in it. loved it. i think i repeated that scene like five times while smiling cuz i knew he'd become my favourite angel. :)))))))))
Also Misha is amazing.
Plus, they're into three-ways, so there's always a chance!
