Remember The Bodyguard? The blockbuster film that turned Whitney Houston into a bankable actress and further made Kevin Costner a heartthrob? Well...the movie is getting a makeover and rumor has it that Rihanna may be cast in the lead role.
Rihanna To Play Whitney Houston's Role In "The Bodyguard" Remake?
Remember The Bodyguard? The blockbuster film that turned Whitney Houston into a bankable actress and further made Kevin Costner a heartthrob? Well...the movie is getting a makeover and rumor has it that Rihanna may be cast in the lead role.
Warner Bros is gearing up to remake its 1992 hit The Bodyguard and it may star Rihanna in the title role. The film will be scripted by Jeremiah Friedman and Nick Palmer.
The updated script will cast the bodyguard as
"..a former Iraq war veteran who gets the job protecting a big star as his first gig after leaving the Army. He discovers that the world of Twitter, Google Maps and TMZ has made access to celebrities easier than ever, making the job more difficult than ever."
Other names thrown into the pot for the Whitney Houston role include Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift. source
