Halle Berry's ex, Gabriel Aubry, "went nuts" whenever anyone would refer to their daughter as "black" ... sources tell TMZ.
Sources connected with the former couple tell TMZ ... whenever Gabriel would read a story about Nahla that referred to her as "black," he would go off, insisting his baby was white. We're told Gabriel would tell Halle and others they should demand a "retraction" when such references were made regarding his daughter.
As TMZ previously reported, sources tell us Gabriel has called Halle the "N" word -- and one woman previously involved with him referred to him as a "borderline racist."
We have been unable to get in touch with Gabriel's reps for comment.

YES, he could be a racist asshole; and YES, this could be a smear campaign on halle berry's behalf
Found out later he was racist as hale.
(I should have seen it coming seeing as how he would constantly show me Hitler sh*t during downtime in class.)
Anyway, one day he turns to me with a big ole smile on his face and goes "I like you. You know why?" I'm like, "Why?" He goes, "Because you're not like other black girls. I don't really consider you black...cause you're not loud and stuff."
You don't consider me a black person...
I could totally see a racist guy falling for Halle Berry because it's probably easy to remove her from the "black people" category cause she doesn't fit the category that society is used to.
By the way...he brought me a flower the next day. I think it was to apologize cause he realized what he said was beyond stupid.
Next day someone spray painted "I hate niggers" on the school wall.
I dropped out for homeschool the same day.
(also found out later that he considered himself to be a part of the 'trench coat mafia'. Fuuuu)

People's "definition" of racism is so watered-down it's pathetic, tbh. Like I said upthread, you can be with a POC and still be racist.

the girl herself was very, very light skinned but because her dad was black on official forms and on her birth certificate it says african-american.
I think race (when it comes to legalities, paper work, bureaucratic bs) whatever the father's race is goes for the kid, too.
That's just my 2 cents, though, I don't know for sure.
I guess it's the idea that racism = the Klan. When it's actually the norm in our culture. Like seeing women as Less Than. You know it's possible for a man to have sex with a woman, care for her, marry her, even love her...and still come up with sexist beliefs, yeah?
and i think way less of her by making this a `media smear` against a guy who has always been low key not a media whore and way too many pics of him clearly being adorable with his daughter
