Evil genius Simon to soon end tiresome speculation for US X Factor judges?

It is thought more information about the talent show is coming in 2 weeks...
Although he stated 4 weeks in like November... So I will believe it when I see/read it

Simon Cowell has revealed that he is to make an announcement regarding the US version of The X Factor in "two weeks time."

The SyCo boss, who won the Best Talent Show gong for The X Factor at last night's NTAs, also revealed that despite speculation over who will feature on the American judging panel, no contracts have been signed on either the UK or US versions of the programme.

Speaking to PA backstage (lol sooo reliable) at the National Television Awards, SiCo revealed: "We are going to make an announcement soon."

He continued: "We have to make sure all the shows will be back bigger, better, stronger, different. No-one has been contracted yet, apart from me."

Cowell was also keen to insist that his involvement in the American XF will not damage the British version of the talent show, adding: "I've got some ideas and I'm trying to make a show I'd like to watch. It has got to be different, full stop."

While rumoured US X Factor judge Cheryl Cole refused to comment on whether she will be included as panellist Stateside, the music mogul did address the future of Chezza's fellow UK judges Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh, stating: "They haven't been given a contract yet."

"We are in the process of going through all the shows. I think there are going to be a few surprises. I genuinely do. I don't think there's one set way of doing it... I am in conversations with ITV and Fox."

Simon added: "The most important thing is to make a commitment to the people who watch the shows and make sure they are better than last year's."

X Factor goes Stateside: Cher Lloyd and One Direction meet up in LA as they plot their plans for the future

They became the most famous teenagers in the country when they appeared on The X Factor last year.

But it seems Cher Lloyd and boyband One Direction aren't content with fame in their home country.

Both Cher, 17, and the boys have descended on Los Angeles, in the hope of making a career for themselves Stateside.

Cher, who has been in America for the past two weeks, met up with One Direction - Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson - at famous LA shopping spot The Grove for a spot of retail therapy yesterday.

Reunion: Cher gets a hug from Harry before they hit the shops

Their reunion comes as it is reported the boys recently received a £2million ($3,179,400) investment from mentor Simon Cowell's record label Syco, on top of the £8,000 ($12,717) each they already received when they signed with Syco.

And while they will repay the majority of that £2million through record sales, the investment shows Cowell is confident of the group's success.

A source told the Sun: 'One Direction are in the States to meet top producers and songwriters before they start recording material for their debut album. Even The X Factor finalist usually waits nearly a year to release their material but Simon is keen to get One Direction cracking.

'They are getting stuck in and will put out a first single this spring. Then they will hear the cash register chime.'

But while One Direction have a bright future ahead of them, Cher has apparently got off to a rocky start with her career.

The teenager has allegedly been demanding to bring her own 'swagger' to her songs, asking to be allowed to record more 'urban' tracks.

A source said last week: ‘You’d think Cher would just be happy for the chance, but she’s told Simon she wants to do it her own way. She’s thrown a few heavy-duty tantrums and is, frankly, being a bit of a pain.

‘You have to admire such self-confidence in a young girl, but she’s no respecter of authority and she’s had run-ins with a few people.’

However, while Cher might have angered some people with her at times difficult attitude, it is widely believed she is destined to become a success - both in the UK and in the States.

But before launching their own careers, both Cher and One Direction have commitments with the X Factor tour which starts on February 19th.

Katie Waissel, Paije Richardson, Mary Byrne, Wagner, Rebecca Ferguson, Matt Cardle and Aiden Grimshaw will also feature in the tour.
