After this post yesterday, I sent an email to MTV to get a ticket for The Seven. I got a call that night that I had chosen , so this afternoon I went up to Manhattan for the taping and ended up meeting Darren Criss, since he was there to perform.


Sorry that it's a bit blurry and you can't see the sign too well--my camera decided to be a jerk and die so this had to be taken on a cell phone.

 

During the commercial break he played a couple of chords from the upcoming Starkid musical 'Starship' and elaborated a bit on the silly songs he sang in the interview. Plus, there were a few of us ONTDers there, so it was very nice to meet some of you! He was, as always, incredibly sweet and funny and even though I've never actually watch The Seven (and to be honest, I'm not going to start now) I still had a really good time.

And since I didn't see this posted earlier, here's the interview:

I lol'd so hard when he called her out on the audition tape, and I felt bad for the girl who didn't get the kiss. I have no idea if she ended up getting one.

I'm 5'10". I took another picture with him a few months ago where I'm an inch or two taller than him, so I'm not sure how this one happened...

Many of his ~older~ fans know him from A Very Potter Musical/Team Starkid. He also has his own music career that's been growing in popularity.

Most, if not all, of his fans appreciate how talented, humble, intelligent, open-minded, well spoken and attractive he is and are proud to see him getting the attention he deserves through Glee and other projects :)

It's not everyone. I think it's a case of him having fans before because of AVPM, and now that Glee has made him relevant to the masses, they have a chance to express that more on here.
