King Firth talks about a third Bridget Jones

"Extra" attended the 2010 AFI Fest Presented by Audi's premiere of "The King's Speech" and talked with its stars, Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush, along with director Tom Hooper, about their Oscar-buzz movie and its significance.

Firth also commented on whether there will be a third "Bridget Jones" movie, saying, "I think there's a chance. The writing department's been busy. A sequel is one thing, but a third, now that they've aged a bit, could be far more interesting."

I sat through most of 'What A Girl Wants' just for Colin Firth. It was truly terrible! As was most of both Bridget Jones movies though I love this -

As long as it doesn't end as badly as the Helen Fielding's newspaper reboot of the series did.

IKR i didn't think i'd like the modernization of the series, but it's so hilarious what they've done with it XD

Bridget Jones is a guilty pleasure of mine but srsly, Colin, you're above this.

The Bridget Jones sequel was absolute dog shit. I loved the first one but the sequel was like the writers just sat there brainstorming all the ridiculous and moronic things Bridget could do, one thing after another, and played off the first movie way too much. They took a relatable character and made her a parody of herself. I couldn't even watch the bit where she's on the phone to Mark apologizing, knowing full well he's waiting for her downstairs. Not funny or cute just CRINGE

I actually liked the second one so I wouldn't mind.

If they did another movie, I would watch it for him. And that's it. And another Daniel/Mark bitch fight.

I loooved the 1st film, the 2nd was basically the 1st but less realistic & likeable, I guess. Anyways, adorable characters.

i love these movies.

I am on board under one condition: that the writers make an effort. Honestly, they just took the first movie and redid it. So disappointing.

Come on Richard Curtis, you're better than that.

There is no way that I want to watch a third if it's going to follow the 'who's the daddy' plotline.

Bridget and Daniel having a child together makes me ill.

idk, the edge of reason kind of sucked, even if Colin was smexy as usual in it
