Katy Perry gets an Indian bridal nose ring ahead of wedding

She may be a California Gurl, but Katy Perry is fully embracing Indian tradition as she prepares to marry Russell Brand on Saturday.
The American singer was spotted sporting an Indian bridal nose ring - otherwise known as a nath - as she arrived at Jaipur airport today.
The nath comprises of a gold chain attached to a nose ring which is hooked across the bride's right cheek and pinned to her hair above the ear.

I'm really wierd around wounds and blood, but for some reason piercings don't freak me out. I got my labret pierced and it hurt, but it didn't freak me out having a huge needle sticking through the bottom of my lip.

My skin, however, doesn't tolerate piercings. It immediately starts to scar in an attempt to "heal" and it just ends up looking ugly.

Same. When I was in elementary school, I booked an appointment to get my ears done but then my friend flinched when they did hers and the earring went into her neck. She was fine but it still scared me enough to cancel.

I have a lot of family/friends, I love them all, but I want a destination wedding like this. I want it small and intimate, as opposed to the circus all our parties and gatherings tend to be.

she got the piercing on the wrong side. Bridal rings/naths are traditionally on the left nostril.
