I don't know any paps without them. It's very easy for people without proper American education backgrounds to get into the pap business. All you do is take pictures. You don't even really need to be any good at it. As long as magazines can tell who it is, you've got your money.

Yes, it's actually common. I don't want to hazard a guess at a percentage, but I feel paps (and to a smaller extent, event photographers) represent a higher proportion of Europeans compared to the average Los Angeles population, based on the pap run-ins I've had.
