When I was a kid, we had a great dane and I would paint his nails. In my defense, his nails were as long as my fingers, basically.

i work at a dog grooming salon and we have it up on our list of things we do for the dogs but we always tell them we don't have any polish in stock because we all think it's stupid.

That actually might not be polish, it might be these special caps you can put on pets nails so they don't ruin furniture or flooring.

Theres a cat at this antiques store I go to, and he has press on nails (usually hot pink or purple), I shit you not.
The apparently don't want to declaw him, but they can't let him scratch up the antiques, so they put these fake nails that are blunted so he can't scratch anything.

I know it sounds crazy, but I swear my dog likes wearing the doggy clothes. I think she enjoys the extra attention she gets.

Plus, she's a small dog and we live in Minnesota, so she really does need her sweaters.

tbh i don't dig the doggy clothes either, but my Oreo von Pooplestein won't go outside for a walk when it's really cold out unless he's got his dapper grey wool cover with orange fleece lining.

Other than that, he's a typical dog! Lazy, bursts of hyperness, and overall attention hog.

We used to have a border collie who was allergic to himself and if his fur got too long he'd rip it out in chunks. We also live in VT which is fucking cold so we made him a hoodie, and he loved it.

I don't have a problem with dogs in minimal clothes, especially little ones/short hairs when it's cold, but that vest is just plain ugly.

The painted nails are a major GTFO, though. :/

I saw a baby at the doctors office the other day and she had BLUE NAIL POLISH. Unless she was losing oxygen or something, but pretty sure it was sparkly polish. And it had one of those fucking giant ass bows that is bigger than the head. The mom took it off to readjust it and it had left a fucking IMPRINT in the forehead of the infant. Sorry, I'm pregnant and my hormones make me RAGE. I wanted to smash that ladies face with that giant ass bow.

I don't know if I've ever seen someone purposefully paint their young child's nails. I've had kids come into preschool/daycare with nail polish alllll over their fingers and you just know someone found mommy's stash.
