A spokeswoman for the Australia heart-throb yesterday confirmed to Confidential that Seed Productions, which produced the likes of X-Men: The Last Stand, Deception and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, is no more. Jackman, who is in Detroit filming boxing drama Real Steel, intends to focus on his acting while Palermo is inking a new deal with 20th Century Fox.
The pair, who launched the company in 2006 at a celeb-heavy party with James and Erica Packer, Antonia Kidman and Matt Newton, still remain partners on projects like Barnum, the musical that is being written by Jenny Bick, and Carousel, the remake of the 1956 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical.
The ever-flamboyant Palermo was once the third wheel of Jackman and his wife, Deborra Lee-Furness.
First off...oh, no! Secondly, I love how the article called Palmero, "the ever-flamboyant." It's completely true, btw.
I heard they've been having some uh, problems for quite some time. I knew their personal relationship was on the rocks, but I never thought they would get rid of their business. No surprise Palmero inked a new deal at Fox--he has made some solid connections there. SOLID.
