90+ week album still selling, Gaga freer than ever

Fresh off her triumphant performance in front of tens of thousands of people in Chicago's Grant Park at Lollapalooza, Lady Gaga brought her Monster Ball tour to sunny Los Angeles, where she descended on the Staples Center for an energetic, lively show that is typical of the world-beating New Yorker. But Wednesday night's (August 11) version of the Monster Ball did include one special element, as Gaga was presented with a plaque celebrating her incredible sales figures (she has moved over 13 million albums and 51 million singles — a truly staggering set of accomplishments). Of course, she doesn't let money get in the way of the Monster Ball message: "Tonight, I want you to free yourselves, forget your insecurities," she told the crowd, which included celebrity blogger and friend Perez Hilton and fellow pop goddess and admirer Britney Spears.

omg when she got this award. it was at the end of concert. and it was super awk. she was like "thanks" and stomped off stage. lol. it was funny. ... maybe you had to be there?

Well, it IS a random thing to get a plaque for. 13 and 51 million? Not that the December figure was a milestone either (8 million, right? I was at that concert too) but I get why she be less excited this time around

I think she owns a 400 sq ft apartment in NY (=/) and I think she rents a house in LA but barely ever stays there because all her family/friends are in NY. She spends her free time in NY.

half the world fell in love with britney spears after one song! it literally takes one good song to lead you to look at the cd and it takes one good cd to lead you to see them in concert, it takes one fucking amazing show to leave you a complete fan.
