Mods, PLEASE accept this. I have been working on this for MONTHS. I'm serious.

In 1999, the WB put out a show about alien-human hybrid teenagers living in Roswell, New Mexico, the site of the legendary '47 crash. Alien Max saves human Liz's life after she gets shot in her parents' diner, and the ensuing fight for survival against all sorts of MIBs begins.

I loved this show when I was in high school, and recently re-watched all 3 seasons on DVD. Please enjoy this WHERE ARE THEY NOW? ROSWELL edition MEGAPOAST!!

Max, Michael, and Isabel invite you in...

I'm warning you, this is going to be a GIANT post, full of little characters who had small parts and so on. GET READY TO SCROLL.

EDIT: I had assumed that, this being a 10-year-old show, warning "spoiler" would be unnecessary... but I had forgotten that this is a new generation of viewers, and maybe y'all were too young to appreciate Roswell... or you watched it 10 years ago and don't remember it that well. THAT BEING SAID, I will change the character summaries so that there are less spoilers. You will get the same amount of info from the character summaries as you would from the pilot and from the show's IMDB page. Okay? Okay.

Jason Behr as Max Evans

Max Evans was the king of Antar. After his untimely death by his enemy Kivar, his DNA was mixed with a human's to create an alien-human hybrid. He, his wife the Queen, his sister the princess, and his brother-in-law and second-in-command, all as alien-human hybrids, were sent to earth in the crashed ship, and emerged in the '80s as naked children roaming the desert.

Jason Behr has had steady work since Roswell, but not too much. The shot above is from his '07 film The Tattooist (those are not real tats). He married his co-star from The Grudge. I wish to see more shirtless photos of him in the future.

Katherine Heigl as Isabel Evans

Isabel, princess of Antar, had a dark secret that only she knew. Isabel tried to fight that side of herself throughout the series. She had some love interests, most notably dork Alex and lawyer Jesse. She also had long blonde hair for the first 2 seasons, then chopped it off dramatically in S3.

Katherine Heigl is probably the most successful of all the Roswell kids (so much that the newer Roswell boxsets reworked their artwork to put her front and center). She's been in Knocked Up, 27 Dresses, the Ugly Truth, "Grey's Anatomy," and most recently Killers with Ashton Kutcher.

Fun fact: Katie and Jason played siblings on the show, but they dated during filming... which is a little weird.

Brendan Fehr as Michael Guerin

Michael was the fuckup of the group, living with an alcoholic foster dad while the other two were adopted by the Evans. Michael was supposed to be Isabel's alien husband on Antar, and Max's second-in-command. He ended up falling in love with a human girl (though their relationship was pretty rocky), Maria DeLuca.

Brendan Fehr has been doing a lot of TV shows. He was Dan Cooper on "CSI: Miami" and Jared Booth on "Bones."

Shiri Appleby as Liz Parker

Liz Parker, the straight-A student who had her entire life planned out, got shot by accident by a disgruntled customer, was healed by Max, and fell in love. The series is narrated by Liz via what she writes in her diary.

Shiri Appleby has had steady work since the show ended. She was in Swimf@n, Charlie Wilson's War, and "ER." Now she's headlining a new CW(?) show, "Life Unexpected," where I think she plays a MOM? Too weird.

Majandra Delfino as Maria DeLuca

Liz's best friend and Michael's reluctant girlfriend. Singer extraordinaire. I swear, her look changed SO MUCH throughout this series (short choppy hair in S1, long curly extensions in S2, brown straight hair with bangs in S3...) Anyway. All the good gifs I could find of Roswell were of Maria.

Majandra is a singer and has a few albums out. She hasn't done a lot of high-profile work since the end of Roswell. Some 2009 releases that include her are Pulling, Bent, and Web of Lies.

Nick Wechsler as Kyle Valenti

Kyle was probably the most dynamic role. He started off as Liz's boyfriend and enemy of the aliens, but then...

Nick has had small roles in TV shows since Roswell, but it looks like a movie (Switchback) due this year will have him in it.

William Sadler as Sheriff Jim Valenti

Sheriff Valenti was the first to suspect Max as an alien... at the end of S1 he realized that the aliens were just scared kids trying to stay alive.

William Sadler has been in A LOT since Roswell, including Darrin Tyler in "Wonderfalls" (love!), the TV series Jesse Stone, "The Pacific," and a slew of movies this year and next, including a part in Switchback with his former on-screen son Nick Wechsler.

Fun fact: He played a child molester in Kinsey, and that made me look at him differently. He is also nude and doing martial arts at the beginning of Die Hard 2: Die Harder (he is the main villain).

Emilie de Ravin as Tess Harding

Tess, the fourth alien, was raised by the shapeshifter Nasedo. She was Max's queen back on Antar. I have to admit, Tess was the reason why I couldn't get into LOST. Sorry, Emilie...

Emilie de Ravin has also had a lot of success, most notably on "Lost" as Claire. She was also recently in Remember Me and Public Enemies.

Colin Hanks as Alex Whitman

Alex was best friends with Liz and Maria. He had a crush on Isabel and dated her briefly.

Colin Hanks was killed off on Roswell, not because of the rumor I had initially believed (which was that Katie Heigl was unhappy that he wasn't "hot enough" for her, thus the introduction of the hotter Jesse Ramirez in S3), but because he was getting to be really successful and the show's writers couldn't justify keeping him on with a minor role. He's been in Orange County, King Kong, Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny, "Mad Men" as Father John Gill, and now "The Good Guys." He also has the most gorgeous father in the world, Tom Hanks. Don't argue with me. You know you love him too.

ALL RIGHT! Big names finished. Now the smaller roles. Feel free to TL;DR...

Mary Ellen Trainor as Diane Evans
/ No current photo available
At first just a mother character, then an annoying nosy butt-her-head-into-everything character in S3, Max and Isabel's mom really got in the way of everything towards the end... but finally pulled her head out of her ass and decided to be supportive.

She's done no big work since Roswell, and her last recorded role was in 2007 for Cake: A Wedding Story.
Fun fact: she was Jenny's babysitter in Forrest Gump.

Garrett M. Brown as Philip Evans

Max and Isabel's dad, a lawyer who got his panties in a twist in S3. He then investigated his children until the end of the series... and when he found out what they were, just dropped it. A storyline I could've done without, but whatever.

He's been in some TV shows with bit parts, like "The O.C." and "Big Love." He was Mr. Lizewski in Kick-Ass.

Adam Rodriguez as Jesse Ramirez

Introduced in S3 as a lawyer in Philip's office and -- surprise! -- Isabel's new love interest. Jesse and Isabel got married after 3 months of dating and a 2-week engagement. Jesse didn't know anything about Isabel's true identity.

Adam has been busy, but his most notable role since Roswell has been as Eric Delko in "CSI: Miami" (with Brendan Fehr!).

Diane Farr as Amy DeLuca

Maria's single mother, a frantic woman who makes her living selling alien-y gimmicks and baking pies for the Crashdown Cafe. Briefly dated Sheriff Valenti.

She's been in a ton of TV shows -- "Rescue Me," "Numb3rs," and "Californication," to name a few.

Devon Gummersall as Sean DeLuca

Juvenile delinquent. Tried to date Liz but Liz was still too into Max.

It looks like Devon's been in a lot of TV shows, but only in a few episodes each. "State of Mind," "Law & Order: CI," "CSI," etc.

Fun fact: Devon played Majandra's cousin in Roswell, but they WERE MARRIED in real life (2007-08).

Julie Benz as Kathleen Topolsky

Topolsky was an FBI agent posing as a guidance counselor in S1.

You may know Julie as Darla from "Buffy" and "Angel." She also had a good run as Rita in "Dexter." She just filmed a pilot for "No Ordinary Family."

Jim Ortlieb as Nasedo

Nasedo, the shapeshifter protector alien who came with the Royal Four to earth, raised Tess and murdered anybody who got too close to finding out the truth. Mr. Harding was his base form (portrayed by Ortlieb).

Jim has been in a lot of TV shows, including "Felicity" and "CSI: Miami" with his other Roswell alum co-stars. I always think of him as "that guy!" because I recognize him in so many things but he's never the star.

Sara Downing as Courtney Banks
/ No current photo available
Courtney was a renegade Skin who believed that Michael, not Max, should have been on the throne to unite her people (Kivar's empire) and the Antarians.

She's been on "CSI: Miami," The Grift, The Red Canvas, Endless Bummer, and The Devil Inside (due soon).

Jeremy Davidson as Grant Sorenson

Poor guy, Grant. That's all I have to say about that. Wrong place, wrong time.

Jeremy's had small parts in many TV shows, including "Law & Order," "The Kill Point," and more extensively "Army Wives." He has a part in the new Angelina Jolie movie Salt.

David Conrad as Agent Pierce

Special Agent Pierce of the alien hunter division of the FBI is ruthless. No more to be said.

David's been in "Boston Public," "Miss Match," and "Ghost Whisperer." Apparently he is going to be a voice in the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops video game.

Gretchen Egolf as Congresswoman Vanessa Whitaker

Congresswoman Whitaker was Liz's boss at the beginning of S2 -- but she had another identity!

Gretchen's biggest role since Roswell has been in "Journeyman," whatever that is.

Allison Lange as Laurie Dupree

Laurie's grandfather turned out to be the donor DNA for Michael's human form. She goes crazy when she sees Michael, believing her dead grandfather to be alive.

It looks like Allison has been in a lot of horror stuff since Roswell, including The Hillside Strangler, Single White Female 2: The Psycho, and Next Stop Murderer. I guess she does crazy well?

Miko Hughes as Nicholas Crawford/Kivar

A creepy Skin. Katie Heigl had to pretend to be in love with this little boy. It was creepy.

Miko was Tom Hanks' son in Apollo 13 and was Michelle's playmate in "Full House." Since Roswell, he's been in "Boston Public," "Veronica Mars" (as a stoner dude in one episode), an uncredited role in Tropic Thunder, and is due out in a movie called City of Shoulders and Noses this year.

AND NOW for GUEST STARS or people who got bigger since their little stint on Roswell...

Martin Starr as Monk Pyle

Monk played a security guard, a coworker of Michael's in S3, for like 2 episodes.

Of course, you may know him from "Freaks and Geeks" as Bill Haverchuck, but Martin's also been in Adventureland, "Party Down," Superbad, and Knocked Up. He's going to be in A Good Old Fashioned Orgy, 6 Month Rule, and High Road.

Morgan Fairchild as Merris Wheeler

She was also in this for like 2 episodes.

Morgan is probably most well-known (at least, to me) from the Old Navy commercials. She's been in dozens of stuff, and is due to be in Life's a Beach, Boy Toy, and Code Enforcer.

Ashley Johnson as Eileen Burrows

Liz's roommate for 2 episodes while Liz was in a Vermont boarding school in S3.

She's the voice of Gretchen in "Recess" and Terra in "Teen Titans." She's also in the "Ben 10" series.

Kevin Weisman as Lawrence "Larry" Trilling

Larry, an aliens-obsessed tourist, is there during the pilot when Liz is shot.

I just had to include Kevin because he is Marshall Flinkman on "ALIAS" and I love him <3

Jason Dohring as the Thai Delivery Guy

Small part, but whatever. In S2, the Thai food delivery guy was the last person to see Alex Whitman (Colin Hanks) alive.

Jason ended up getting a big part as Logan Echolls on "Veronica Mars."

Terry O'Quinn as Carl the Security Guy

Carl stole stuff and pinned it on Michael.

Terry's been in "Lost" as Locke, and "ALIAS" as FBI Assistant Director Kendall.

Joe Pantoliano as Kal Langley

Kal was the second shapeshifter who came to earth with the Royal Four. He became a big-shot director in Hollywood.

Joe was Cypher in The Matrix, Teddy in Memento, and has also been in Daredevil, Bad Boys II, Deadly Impact, The Job, Falling Up, Percy Jackson & the Olympians, and other movies.
