project runway news



(NEW YORK) Even reality television can't escape the grip of the New York socialite.

This week's episode of Project Runway has the contestants designing dresses for one of Gotham's boldfaced names, and the lucky recipient-spoiler alert!-is none other than Nicky Hilton. The slightly more subdued and serious half of the Hilton party duo, however, wasn't the producer's first choice, as The Daily has learned. Ivanka Trump was the number one pick, but the demure daughter of The Donald, who has his own reality show on NBC, politely declined. Meanwhile, Tinsley Mortimer was also casually considered as a third option.

Which budding designer wins? Tune in this Wednesday at 10pm to find out.

I've really loved designs. they are actually clothes that i would consider wearing. Santino's stuff is very couture but it is also like fantasy stuff you would never wear OUT. I love seeing that kind of thing on the runway but obviously it isn't practical and I think to win the show you need to have a good mix of both creativity and practicality.

ALso, Santino's ego pisses me off. Like on the second challenge, when Chloe won (which I totally think she deserved) he said "they just didn't want to give it to me twice in a row." and he said that right in front of chloe. I thought it was really tacky.
