The Paris Cinema Festival began in style on July 3 and has an attractive programming, between honoring Japan, the presence of Jane Fonda and previews of movies such as "L'Age de Raison".
Actor Louis Garrel is also part of the festival with the screening of a dozen of his films, such as The Dreamers and the recent "Mariage à Trois".The festival also allows him to present his own achievement: the short black and white film "Petit Tailleur".
This work, already seen at Cannes, has been shown on July 6 at the MK2 Cinema in the presence of the actors, Lea Seydoux, who stared along Garrel in "La Belle Personne", and Arthur Igual. The director is very proud to present his work and shows even a smile, he who is often stingy in front of the lenses.
"Petit Tailleur" is the story of Arthur, a young tailor's apprentice who work in the studio of Albert who loves Arthur as his son. Approaching retirement, Albert chooses Arthur as his successor. Everything changes after a performance at the theater, when Arthur falls in love with the leading actress(played by Lea Seydoux). Will he be able to give up everything for his passion for her? Even Albert?

we're magical~
Perfectly casted.
A LOT more happens in the book. Like, scat.
I coulda taken both if I didn't fail Math last semester :(
it's a great language, i love it
Don't they teach it you in school wherever you are?
It's so bizarre. I'm French and I'm spending my summer in Mexico, and I've gotten some discounts and people are particularly nice to me. I'm really starting to wonder if it's just because I'm French.
Also, a lot of people have commented on the fact that I'm not bitchy. They expect me to be rude. I may take advantage of that someday just for kicks.
But anyway, it's a beautiful language, especially if you're an artist, as is my case. The same thing with Spanish. Romance languages flow so beautifully.
The pronouncation if anything will fuck you over but definitely give it a try. I guess in Europe, it's better to learn french as a second language [from UK] but if you're in the US...it'd be still usefull, maybe not as much as spanish but for travelling oui :D
If you have any specific questions about it you can ask me. :)
the french posts have been missing him
Or something.
I'm trying but my french is letting me down. xD Anyway, A+ post!
