I'd like to dramatically doff my cap to The Young Veins and their video for "Change." A while back we did a little roundup of videos that pay homage to olde-timey TV shows, but I don't think I've ever seen a clip that gets it so right.
"Change" finds Ryan Ross and Jon Walker continuing with the '60s fetish that first appeared when they were still members of Panic! At The Disco. Like Nirvana's "In Bloom" clip, it's an homage to The Beatles' legendary appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show."
The difference is in the details. From the slow raising of the lights, the film stock to the static movements of the band members themselves, everything is perfect. Heck, The Young Veins even sound like they're from the '60s.
It's not the first time this modern band has indulged in some nostalgia. The group is heavily indebted to The Beach Boys for its Take A Vacation album artwork.

This song is shit. I like "Heart of Mine" way better. Also, Happy belated Canada day everyone!
Young Veins release uninteresting music video, remain uninteresting while doing so.
