Making the impossible possible - making music on a vuvuzela
Maybe this will help the Germans win tonight!?
remember this post?
Well, Germans seem to be very taken with vuvuzelas, as three musicians of the Berlin Concert House are now playing Brahms and Ravel on the instrument:
Brahms, Ravel – these Romantic composers already wrote grand solos for the vuvuzela. However, these parts have until now only been played by basic brass instruments - an error, as we now hear. The musicians of the Berlin Concert Hall are now taking us back to the historically intended way of playing these pieces. Maybe this will inspire thousands of fans in the stadiums to do the same.
vuvuzelaaaaaaasource
mods: i'm aware this isn't exactly celebrity related, but it's the world cup and since the vuvuzela is about the most famous instrument in the world right now I'd say it qualifies!
adit: sorry guys, link is fixed!
And thank you for turning this into a celebration post!
For those living under a rock, England and the USA just moved on into the next round!
