Disney Jacks Pogo's Swag

You guys might be familiar with Pogo, the Australian DJ behind Upular and Alice, but if you're not - you should be.

Anyway - I was watching the World of Color Premiere online last night and they played a really cool clip that remixed the original World of Color TV broadcasts.



I thought it was Pogo because it sounds very similar to his previous types of work, but I guess it wasn't.



Shame on you, Disney! This is really sad because I know a lot of people and a lot of ONTDers really like his stuff and to see it kind of ripped off like that sucks.

I think Alice is a great segue into his type of music, but I agree it's overrated. I love Bangarang too and Mary's Magic.

This is like those Eggo waffle commercials that ripped off Don Hertzfeldt after he said he wouldn't make cartoons for them... only not, since Disney didn't even give Mr.Pogo an offer. Sucks.

lol i was at that red carpet premiere show last night and it's well done but kind of that's it. but yes omg the simba part was so fucking sad, everyone in my group was tearing up.

I just sat here for like, near to half an hour watching this and it was worth it. AMAZING. FUCKING BRILLIANT.

Every time I hear music from Beauty and the Beast I am re-struck with what a fucking masterpiece that movie is, the music especially.
