lol my dad is a similar kind of doctor as house (except he's a pediatrician) and people always ask me if his life is like that. i'm like uhhhh no, that's FICTION and TELEVISION and they are sad haha
Ahh ok. Is it safe to assume the results are on the high end of normal because it runs through her family? Or is it something that just progresses throughout life?
I had my ANA tested last year and it came back borderline positive, then we did more specific testing for autoimmune disorders and they all came back negative. I guess I have a high level of normal. I don't have any autoimmune disorders that run in either side of my family (that I know of), but my aunt had chronic fatigue syndrome, and some docs believe it might be from an autoimmune disorder ...but it doesn't help that half the medical community think it's quackery, so there's no test for it and any progress is nil.
there is an antibody that they test you for, if you have over a certain amount in your bloodstream, it's indicative of full-onset or near full-onset of lupus. in combination with other tests, like blood platelet counts, and imaging done of organs (checking for inflammation), lupus is diagnosed.
she might be showing the antibody that indicates the autoimmune response, but maybe not some of the other symptoms that are often deadly (related to inflammation). at least not yet.
Diagnosis of lupus is actually based on a set of criterias. She probably has a number of features of lupus but not enough to be fully diagnosed. Lupus is not as simple as getting a blood test, unfortunately...
It would've been awesome if they had gotten tons of artists from all different genres to open different shows, to show his impact across the music world.
MJ being the King of Pop would recognize talent when he saw/heard it. And if I remember correctly from watching an interview with the guy that was working on the tour with MJ, he said they'd given him a list of possible artists to perform with on tour and it was MJ that brought up Gaga's name because he liked her :')
My best friend has lupus and she's really struggled with it. On a positive note, with Gaga testing borderline positive it'll at least bring more awareness.
Isn't it? She also has something else on top of it with her joints of her arms and legs but I don't remember what it's called. Initially, when she was diagnosed in school they said that she probably wouldn't make it to 20 and that she could never have children (the latter from a combination of the two diseases in addition to a trauma she experienced when she was two). She's going to be 29 in September and she has a beautiful three year old son, my godson, Micah.
I have a lot of health issues, including 3 autoimmune diseases and my doctor told me he's waiting for me to test positive for lupus. I send my love to your friend, this shit is hard to deal with!
Every time I see your icon, I get freaked out, because this dude that I hate/but he likes me has him as his facebook picture, and I automatically worry that he's on here stalking me D:
*fans self*
Sigh.

btw her hair is FAB
i wonder why they didn't ask xtina. she's a legend.
