bookwormrach 12th-May-2010 07:23 pm (UTC)
MTE. I like her, but why single her out with the nom?
no_urges 12th-May-2010 04:44 pm (UTC)
Rachael Ray as outstanding talk show host? You've got to be fucking kidding me!
noreallywtf 12th-May-2010 04:44 pm (UTC)
* Peter Bergman, as Jack Abbott “The Young and the Restless,” CBS

i can't take jacks endless blank stares each episode
iamglory 12th-May-2010 09:58 pm (UTC)
I don't know why he was nominated. THERE ARE MUCH BETTER ACTORS ON THAT SHOW!
noreallywtf 12th-May-2010 10:24 pm (UTC)
I know! they should have nominated adam at least. anyone but him!!
bonjour_jetaime 12th-May-2010 04:46 pm (UTC)
Doug Davidson has been really good lately in the scenes with Patty, IMO.
iamglory 12th-May-2010 09:58 pm (UTC)
Now if they only took the scenes seriously and made it an actual story rather than a, "My sister is crazy and I need to help her" shit.
evrythingisrent 12th-May-2010 04:49 pm (UTC)
Krystal on AMC hasn't had a plotline in forever. If anything from that show Annie deserved a nom.
georgiana08 12th-May-2010 04:52 pm (UTC)
Do anyone even bother to air these anymore? I wonder how much longer soaps are going to be able to stumble along before they disappear completely.
georgiana08 12th-May-2010 05:00 pm (UTC)
*Does anyone
lovedforaday 12th-May-2010 05:00 pm (UTC)
CBS is airing them this year.
vanhrh 12th-May-2010 04:53 pm (UTC)

I love Jonathan Jackson, but I think he only got nominated for being Jonathan Jackson. Of course he's an amazing actor but his best scene's happened earlier this year, and I also think he'll have more defying scenes coming later this year, so next year the Supporting Actor category will be his.

A big fat "HAHA!!!" to Drew getting nominated. Even though I've warmed up to Chad, I still hope Drew wins.
riveroflife 12th-May-2010 07:14 pm (UTC)
His scenes when he found out about Liz/Nik were awesome, but yeah he pretty much got nominated because it's expected. I still think he deserves to win. I don't watch any other soaps so I have no idea what the caliber of acting is with the younger stars on other shows but I would have a hard time believing that there is anyone better than JJ.

I like the new Michael, but wtf did they recast Morgan for? The new Morgan sucks balls.
levenah 12th-May-2010 04:55 pm (UTC)
Go James Scott! I just wanna see you talk on that stage!
devil_details 12th-May-2010 04:56 pm (UTC)
As The World Turns? FOR BEST WRITING?
iamglory 12th-May-2010 10:00 pm (UTC)
Damn right...I couldn't bother to watch the show anymore...I know it's going off the air but it's just so bad. The writing doesn't make sense.
spacexcowboy 12th-May-2010 04:57 pm (UTC)
i hope drew garrett wins! the new michael sucks. he looks like spinelli's brother.
crucified 12th-May-2010 05:01 pm (UTC)
lol
queenofissues 12th-May-2010 05:13 pm (UTC)
Krystal hasn't been important on AMC for a long time. Why not Greenlee or Annie?
dancedallnight 12th-May-2010 05:14 pm (UTC)
Are they eventually going to stop giving Emmys to soap operas? when ATWT goes off the air, there will only be 6 soaps on air (assuming OLTL doesn't get canned soon) and I just feel like the pool for nominations will be too small.

I'm surprised Sarah Brown got a nomination. I loved her as Carly back in the day, but I feel like Claudia was a forgettable character.

I don't care who wins any of the stuff for drama, but go Regis and Kelly!! I love them so much.
mjgchick 14th-May-2010 04:48 pm (UTC)
Really? They only mention her every freakin scene. Also you're telling me her inappropriate chem with BB was not noticeable? lol
dancedallnight 14th-May-2010 05:24 pm (UTC)
I guess forgettable in the sense that it just wasn't a memorable performance for me. Maybe it's just that I hated the character of Claudia lol.
baby_c15 12th-May-2010 05:14 pm (UTC)
AMC, for best? Last year had to be the worst writing a soap, a scripted show could ever have. I'm surprised AMC didn't give me an arunism or brain cancer

Stacy Haiduck should have been nominated, she was the one of the few bright spots with all the Mary Jane/Patty/Emily thing... and Mr. Kitty. I miss Mr. Kitty. :(

If Crystal Chappell doesn't win I'm gonna be so mad. Yes, those are all great actresses but Olivia's graveyard confession was heartbreaking and so powerful.
