It was a horrendous week for daytime soaps ratings-wise (Source: Soap Opera Network). "One Life to Live" hit a new low as fans tuned out in droves, following the shoddy, fear-based exit of groundbreaking supercouple Kyle (Brett Claywell) and Fish (Scott Evans). OLTL lost 227,000 total viewers, hitting the soap opera's all-time low rating. OLTL was also down year-to-date 310,000 not-so-mainstream viewers, and was dead last among total viewers.
The show also dropped one-tenth of a ratings point in households, tying it's record low in that demo. Among women 18-49, OLTL went down a crushing two-tenths of a point, tying their low in that demo as well. Looks like the Kish fans have spoken.

I'm sure the ratings drop can't be entirely attributed to their exit, but there's no doubt it played a part. I started watching for Kish and got into the rest of the show, but now it's just so terrible. I'd rather watch "As the World Turns" now and its hot, gay, bull-riding asshole doctor.

and GOOD! OLTL won't last the whole year for what they've done.
btw Debebee, you change form one show to another quite a lot don't you? lol don't blame ya, ATWT are hardly showing luke with reid as it is.... not that i want that though, but it's better than once a freaking week.
and i miss jake being noah. he'll be back next week though :)
And I don't really change shows that much! I actually was watching both for a while until my DVR unexplainedly stopped recording ATWT daily. It wouldn't record for about a month, and then it suddenly just started recording again one day. It was bizarre. I just sort of forgot about ATWT for that month though, and coincidentally it started recording again just as things got interesting with the doctor!
I can't wait to see Noah back also and see this triangle finally get started!
anyway i've read spoilers and i swear to god if they put them on more than once a week i'll start loving this story. Van has got some WORK to do.... okay now nelly and kelly's dilemma has come to my head. i need to listen to it stat! lol

I quit watching when Kish left, too.
I'm going to try to watch the other hot gay couple, but I think it comes on during General Hospital :)
