Nicole Richie Calls Out Her 80s Awkwarness


Nicole Richie celebrated the launch of her brand new website by sharing a glorious old school photo of herself and her mom in matching pink outfits.

As Nicole points out on her blog, it's not just the matching outfits that makes this pic so wrong, it's "the eyebrows, the afro and the 1989 'serious face'. 

Judging from this photo, those Richie women had the "1989 serious face" down to a science!

I'm glad we agree she didn't have an afro. And her eyebrows are lovely. They're not plucked but I don't think they should have been given she was a child.

My worst haircut was third grade. My mom suggested I get a bob. I did, blunt bangs and all. I left the salon crying. About a month later, I cut my own bangs and had to wear headbands for the next six months until my hair grew out properly.

my worst hair cut was when i found a pair of scissors, ran into the kitchen pantry and decided how funny it would be to chop off my long hair that was down to my butt... i chopped off each side to chin length, but left the back part of my hair still long to my butt.

lol also, this reminds me of the summer between 9th and 10th grade when i talked my best friend into letting me give her bangs. i kept trying to get them even and just kept cutting more and more until i finally got like 1/4 of an inch from her scalp. it was like 3 days before school was about to start too. lol good times
