David Cook Will Attempt To Not Kill A Rolling Stones Song

Fred Bronson of @Idolsnow is reporting that David Cook will sing the Rolling Stone’s “Jumping Jack Flash” on Wednesday’s results show…

For thos poor unfortunate souls on ONTD who have never been graced with the amazingness that is The Rolling Stones, here is "Jumping Jack Flash"

I have faith that he will not murder this song as he did well with songs while he was on Idol.
I'm not surprised by this as David has no new single or record to promote and the Stones are too good for Ai.

I hate this song, actually. I told myself that whoever chose to sing this song this week should be kicked out of Hollywood forever.

And then this was announced and now I'm all conflicted. I have more faith in his cover than anyone else on the season, though. So maybe it won't suck.

Or just quits in frustration so that only Didi, Crystal and Siobhan remain. Seriously, all other seasons of AI fail compared to season 7.

I want Didi doing Beast Of Burden or maybe Mike. I want that stupid red headed girl who should've gone home instead of the cool one who did Patsy Cline, to do Angie as it could be redeeming. I want Siobhan doing I Miss You. And I hope noone does Satisfaction but that's asking a lot, I realize.

I bet the group performance is Satisfaction because it's not a good song for a person to perform solo. (Yes Adam Lambert, I'm looking at you.)

not that i'm dissing the Rolling Stones or anything, but....he's been working on a new album and he's been playing new songs at his recent shows....why not just play one of his own songs??

i can understand the "not being on the album" thing(altho, honestly if he's not touring and he doesn't have a new cd out, why is he on the show? not like i should complain, because i DO miss him being on there) but the "not perfected" thing, i don't think he'd be singing it at his shows tho.
