Megan Fox: 'I'd be an Amazing Mom!'

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Megan Fox is desperate to have children.

The Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen actress — who has an on/off relationship with actor Brian Austin Green – said she is a very maternal person but suffers a deep fear that she won’t be able to have kids biologically.

“No-one believes me when I talk about this, but I’m really maternal,” Megan said. “I worry that because I’ve always wanted kids so much, as the world goes sometimes, I won’t be able to have them – even though I would be able to provide them with such an amazing environment.”

Megan, 23, also admitted that, despite her movie successes, she isn’t confident about her acting abilities and hates having her picture taken.

“With acting, my main weakness is nerves. I have no confidence, and because of that I’m always second-guessing myself,” she said.

ohdiamond 1st-Mar-2010 08:22 am (UTC)

mario_06 1st-Mar-2010 08:23 am (UTC)
awwww! but u seem like u would be a great mom just by that statement cuz u realize how important a job it is..

all these ppl running around going "i is gonnnna have a bb and itll be da bestest!" are the ppl we need to worry about lol
katiekylie 1st-Mar-2010 08:33 am (UTC)
woah what a racist with your ghetto talk.
cheryl_tunt 1st-Mar-2010 08:35 am (UTC)
So, since I want to some kids before I get too old and I think I would be a great mother, I'm someone you need to worry about? Are you seriously concerned about my confidence level, because I would make a fucking great mom. You don't need to push your views on me, ffs.
thelookofarebel 1st-Mar-2010 08:36 am (UTC)
why because they could possibly be african-american?

wow. fucking wow.
sky_collide 1st-Mar-2010 08:46 am (UTC)
Personally I thought your characterization sounded more like an lolcat than a ghettofied black person...? I mean, bestest? Since when was that part of Ebonics?
mario_06 1st-Mar-2010 08:22 am (UTC)
around 30...im aiming to get my masters...then maybe phd soooo yeah it will be a while for me :P

probably between 30-35.

and honestly as STUPID as she seems i dont think she would be a horrible mom. She seems pretty laid back-doesnt party much and i think sometimes ppl who arent lets say the brightest can be the best moms..idk if that makes sense at all lol.
cherriesjubilei 1st-Mar-2010 08:23 am (UTC)

This post has confirmed for me that there are in fact straight men (who participate) on ontd. My mind is blown.

And I don't want want kids until I've been in a stable relationship for a while & we've both decided its time.
katiekylie 1st-Mar-2010 08:38 am (UTC)
there are no straight men on ONTD. Don't kid yourself bby.
euterpe_xx 1st-Mar-2010 08:54 am (UTC)
look back on the comments. there is even one of the 1st page I think.
sky_collide 1st-Mar-2010 08:43 am (UTC)
I plan on starting to try 9 months before I turn 25.

From my personal experience, people who wait to have children (30+) become exhausted and resentful and those who jump right in seem to have a lot of fun despite the hardships. Has anyone else noticed this??
mario_06 1st-Mar-2010 08:49 am (UTC)
noooooooooooooooooooo

complete opposite actually.....

i think (and just from my experience) younger parents PRETEND to have everything together and just love EVERYTHING about it just so they dont look bad....

30+ seem more honest and dont need to prove anything imho.

(not saying u are like that tho! or everyone is but from knowing some ppl thats how i see it)
sky_collide 1st-Mar-2010 08:55 am (UTC)
haha I'd never thought of it that way, you may be right! Most of the young mothers I know are Mormon... that might have something to do with their overall sunny disposition ;)
ohdiamond 1st-Mar-2010 09:02 am (UTC)
yes :)
enid_keaner 1st-Mar-2010 09:16 am (UTC)
Nope. My mom had me at 19, and I think it was tough for her. She was a kickass mom, but there were things she wanted to do that she ended up waiting for.

Most of the young parents I know tend to be somewhat resentful because they really can't just live life for themselves. Some I know have told me that it's hard for them to still connect with their friends since their lives are just totally on a different level.

I don't want kids, but if I did, there's no way in hell I'd have one before 30.
fengshoegal 1st-Mar-2010 08:46 am (UTC)
I use to loathe kids as teenager, now I've warmed up to them though I do still have a dislike of kids in general. But I've met enough great kids that I'd be fine with being like a ~cool aunt~ or something, if I did change my mind about having kids, which is unlikely but if on the off chance I did, I'd adopt, preferably an older child.
cocopora 1st-Mar-2010 08:50 am (UTC)
im a little shocked at how many people are responding "never."
not that i'm saying "omg how can you not want babies?!" at all, but it's just funny to see.

also, my entire life i said i wanted my first at 23, next at 26, last at 29 (goal = DONE by 30 cause for my 30th bday, my present to me will be permanent birth control). Right now I AM 23 and there's no way i'm having kids before 25 at LEAST.
dirtyknife 1st-Mar-2010 08:52 am (UTC)
Don't like kids. Never have. Never will.
kritty_kritty 1st-Mar-2010 09:01 am (UTC)

I always wanted to have a kid in my twenties, but now that I am in my twenties there's so much other stuff I want to do first, so I'd rather put off having a child. I'm more excited about my career than starting a family TBH.

But my worst fear is being bitter when I'm older because I didn't get to do all sthe stuff I wanted to do :/
michelleantonia 1st-Mar-2010 09:12 am (UTC)
same
lilacwine 1st-Mar-2010 09:11 am (UTC)
I don't know what age I'll have kids- I guess just when I'm ready. I can't wait to be a mum though- is that a bit sad? I guess just 'cause I love my family so much and had such a great childhood thanks to my own mummy and I can't wait to do that for my own children :')

WOAH I'M SORRY I CLEARLY HAVE A LOT OF EMOTIONS WTF IS THIS SCHMALTZY SHIT THAT I JUST POSTED?
evilgmbethy 1st-Mar-2010 09:11 am (UTC)
she's 23. why is she already worried her chances are slipping away?

as for me, I'm not having children until NEVER.

edit: I do have an adorable little niece, though, and look forward to being the adventurous, crazy aunt.

I think Megan just says stuff like this to stay in the press or says it in interviews so that someone can post about it here and we can all wank about it. The Jonah Hex movie isn't coming out until June so she's got to stay relevant in the meantime.
