Pickle 'more popular than Nickelback'

A Facebook group has achieved its goal of getting more online fans for an ordinary pickle than for Nickelback.

The social-networking group, titled 'Can this pickle get more fans than Nickelback?', was started on February 8 to voice popular disdain for the US CANADIAN rockers.

Nickelback currently have 1,413,167 Facebook followers, although their total was surpassed yesterday when the pickle managed to climb to 1,414,000 fans.

Meanwhile, a similar attempt on the site to get a sausage roll more fans than Cheryl Cole has so far only accrued around 1 million followers.

While I hate Nickelback, shit like this is why Facebook sucks ass. I miss the days when it was for college students only and wasn't full of apps and other crap. I'm looking at you Farmville.

Hahahaha all you have to do is hover over their posts on the top right corner > click hide. But yeah defriending works wonders too

I have that same problem, but with "fans". I admit I'm a fan of a couple of things, but " I stand in the shower aimlessly for ages just because its warm", "For those who have found cuts and bruises and don't know how they got there", " I Hate When I Have to Stop Walking because the Automatic Door is too Slow.", " all my school stationary gets stolen or wrecked!", "Hearing part of a song and thinking.."that's going to be my next status."" etc etc - how pointless and stupid! (this is c&p'ed from one girl's news feed update, btw)

i know ive been on fb since like 06. i strictly used facebook to stalk pictures the night after a party to look up guys i met that night or "keep in touch" (stalk) people i havent talked to in awhile and now all my news feed shows is people's horoscopes or people looking to find their lost pink cow a home. FUUUUCK

i do play pet society and my pet is really fucking cute but i did it before it was ~cool

and also i regret ever joining the sorority life cheats group bc i get like 15+ friend requests from strangers who want to to be sisters. FFFFFFUUUUUUUU

Another "YES" from me. Way back when, Facebook was like the "mature" alternative to MySpace, and I started using it because you didn't have randoms trying to friend you, profiles for advertising rather than individuals, big stupid graphics cluttering up your comments section, etc. Now, it's almost worse.

ia so hard. most of the groups i see on facebook are trash, and i'm sick of all these apps and people sending me a million things like bumper stickers and farmville requests. i miss the days when it was available to only college students as well. it's turned into a big joke. everyone and their mom has one. no longer fun. sad :(

Ugh, my mother joined facebook, and sends me a bunch of stupid apps, she does it less, got some people I use to go to school with who constantly do it, I've hidden most of those on my feeds and created a friends list to not have to read any of that.

But I will admit their songs tend to be pretty catchy and I also know many of the lyrics to their songs.

I like a couple of their songs, and I generally like their very earnest OTT videos. But I'm Australian and we're supposedly a lot like Canadians (we love Canadian celebs like Michael Buble because they get our jokes).
