Once one of the music world's most prolific bloggers, the singer recently declared her conversion to become a "neo-Luddite".
She explained: "I just had this revelation that Facebook, blogging, all those things were becoming a total addiction. I'd be with my boyfriend or my mum and they'd have just got half of me.
"So I put my BlackBerry, my laptop, my iPod in a box and that's the end. I won't use email, I play records on vinyl, I don't blog. I've got more time, more privacy. We've ended up in this world of unreal communications and I don't want that. I want real life back."
In an interview with Grazia magazine, the 24-year old also said she had managed to overcome a reliance on alcohol. "When I started out, I'd drink four cans of cider on stage because I needed the confidence not to be judged. But getting off my head got me into trouble - I didn't understand why I couldn't be like Liam Gallagher just because I was a girl. Now I'm happy being more of a lady," she said.
She added that she is happier with her body image. "I'm just over the whole body thing. I honestly don't care any more. I'll never be teeny tiny like Cheryl Cole or Dannii Minogue, but I've stopped comparing myself. Put my next to the average British woman and I'm fine... I've still got a big bum and thighs, but they're the parts of my body my boyfriend is always gravving. I've lost that obsession and paranoia, thank God."

i feel the same way too sometimes, but no way in hell i am giving up email!
i love my fb.
... but then I started commenting on ontd again, so I guess I fell off the wagon.
ontd is the lesser of evils though, so don't feel bad.
plus, I just find it so self-indulgent. Like, they honestly expect people to care about their drama updates.
I guess so! at least people from high school don't bug me here.
OT: my sister got my dad a "the dude" action figure for christmas!
well I had one, I just never got into using it at all.
but then again, my internet addiction sortof take its place.
people text me and I am like a caveman mashing buttons, taking 5 minutes to type a sentence back
but its true though
"Now I'm happy being more of a lady,"
lololololol
oh well done lily you're so old worldy, so original with those vinyls, you're practically Amish. NOW I RESPECT YOU
I'm glad she's shutting up but girl will never be a 'lady'
And then there's the girl who is on her phone CONSTANTLY when she's at parties. It's like, why be at a party? Just go home and talk on the phone.

This girl I used to work with and now occasionally run into at community events/council meetings and such is literally on her blackberry the entire time, texting or on facebook or something. Not only is it really annoying, it's really disrespectful to the people you're with or supposed to be paying attention to.
