William Shatner sits atop a faithful steed in this photo from GQ’s January 2010 issue (featuring cover girl Rihanna!)
In an irreverent interview, the 78-year-old shared that he loves motorcycles and cars and has a fitness goal in mind.
“I am trying to get to the perfect body - not just for a man of my age, but the perfect body,” William said. “One of my quests: to get the six-pack. I’ve got a twelve-pack.”

SHATNER! What is it? A man. An incorporeal force imbuing all souls, and all things. An amuse-bouche. A way of being. A story in our January issue. (Titled "SHATNER!"—how could it be otherwise?) And, of course, a way of speaking. A very emphatic way of speaking. Words that are utterly mundane coming from the mouths of mortal men ("The guacamole is decent here, you should try it") becoming electrified when they emerge from his. Here, for your listening pleasure, are some audio outtakes from my interviews with the inimitable William Shatner.
Shatner waxes poetic on the elemental harmonies of archery.
Shatner, asked about his position on guns and gun ownership, speaks instead of the day he wound up barreling down a California highway on his motorcycle with his clothes half torn from his body and blood pouring from his head (and several other parts of his body)—and with a teddy bear in tow.
Shatner explains/defends the emotive ginormity he brought to his portrayal of James Tiberius Kirk.
Shatner explains/defends the emotive ginormity he brought to his preposterous spoken-word performance of Elton John's "Rocket Man."
Shatner explains that there is one and only one perfect way to deliver any given line.
Shatner explains "sabotage"—how to pronounce it, and how to avoid it.
Shatner, now 78 years old, proclaims his intention to attain six-pack abs.
