Oh, Flapjack <3
[info]juel1979 1st-Dec-2009 05:22 pm (UTC)
Well he kept the weight off for ten years. Metabolism is probably grinding to a halt unless he was like 20 when he started. =P
[info]nbyevu 1st-Dec-2009 05:31 pm (UTC)
Yea I was gonna say, congratulations to him for keeping it off so long. That's pretty good. But he hasn't gotten up to his "start" weight yet, so there's still hope to turn it around.
[info]juel1979 1st-Dec-2009 05:35 pm (UTC)
Indeed. Didn't he recently get married too? That'll put the poundage on, I should know (FML).
[info]heartflood 1st-Dec-2009 06:16 pm (UTC)
I agree, good for him. I've been there done that, weight re-gain and all. Beh.
[info]chung_____chung 1st-Dec-2009 06:37 pm (UTC)

[info]b_mckinley 1st-Dec-2009 05:22 pm (UTC)
I could go for a chicken bacon melt on italian herb & cheese, toasted, with pepperjack cheese, lettece, tomatoes, banana peppers, salt & pepper, ranch and chipotle sauce....with a water
[info]cuntmouth 1st-Dec-2009 05:24 pm (UTC)
this is what i almost always get, minus the sauces.
[info]b_mckinley 1st-Dec-2009 05:25 pm (UTC)
It's my new sub, I used to get turkey one...it's been so long I don't even remember what its called
[info]trailergirl 1st-Dec-2009 05:26 pm (UTC)
I wish the Subways by me (in Detroit) had pepperjack. I think I'll eat some of the Subway veggie pizza waiting for me in the kitchen now.
[info]invaderscythe 1st-Dec-2009 05:26 pm (UTC)
Mmm I always get a oven roasted chicken breast on wheat with American cheese, lettuce, cucumber, red onions, and ranch. There's a Subway upstairs in my student center but I need to save my money!
[info]livesamantha 1st-Dec-2009 05:27 pm (UTC)
Spicy Italian on wheat, pepperjack, lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, onions, banana peppers, sweet onion sauce ohhh yessss. With an arnold palmer plz
[info]jennitarox 1st-Dec-2009 05:35 pm (UTC)
omfg that sounds delicious! THE SUBWAYS OVER HERE DON'T HAVE THAT SANDWICH :'(
[info]nancyboy11 1st-Dec-2009 06:18 pm (UTC)
Minus the banana peppers that sounds AMAZING.
It's what I'm getting next time. Thanks bb!
[info]chung_____chung 1st-Dec-2009 06:38 pm (UTC)
omg so much fattening things.

i used to get the spicy italian until i found out it had twice the fat and calories of the turkey. now i just get the turkey with the same stuff i would get on the italian and it basically tastes the same for half of the bad stuff
[info]starsprinkles17 1st-Dec-2009 08:23 pm (UTC)
I used to always get the chicken bacon melt, now I get the roast beef with everything you mentioned minus the chipotle sauce and salt/pepper

You forgot about the cookies! The sugar cookies at Subway...heaven.
[info]boobearbeth 1st-Dec-2009 08:42 pm (UTC)
That sounds so good right now. Minus the chipotle and add sweet onion..Yum!
[info]november_7th 1st-Dec-2009 10:23 pm (UTC)
omg I'm craving a subway sandwich so much right now.
[info]celtic_thistle 1st-Dec-2009 11:10 pm (UTC)

[info]appeasing 1st-Dec-2009 05:24 pm (UTC)
guess he stopped eating those subs
[info]kmd 1st-Dec-2009 05:24 pm (UTC)
When will it sink in to this thin obsessed culture and the entire medical establishment that human biology is designed to make sure that intentional weight loss is NEVER permanent and that going up and down is worse for the human body than staying fat?

Never mind. Don't answer. I already know the answer.

You're a fatty, amirite

[info]livesamantha 1st-Dec-2009 05:29 pm (UTC)
Because the food industry and diet pills are a multi billion operation? Who would want healthy humans? Pah!
[info]squishtoy 1st-Dec-2009 05:30 pm (UTC)
Actual, naturally thin people? IT HAPPENS
[info]just4ontd 1st-Dec-2009 05:31 pm (UTC)
Wut?
[info]nbyevu 1st-Dec-2009 05:33 pm (UTC)
Honestly, this right here is why I have accepted that I'm probably gonna be fat for a long time. Because until I'm ready to make a SERIOUS lifestyle change, dieting is just going to bring my weight up more and more in the long run. Not worth it. I'll just stay comfortably obese at the same weight for a while.
[info]likegunfire 1st-Dec-2009 05:52 pm (UTC)
stop giving fat people excuses.
[info]hotpinkluver 1st-Dec-2009 06:02 pm (UTC)
Most people just use fad diets to lose weight and those are impossible to maintain throughout a lifetime. People are so obsessed with being thin that they forget their health is what's actually important. Also, it must be difficult to have such an unhealthy relationship with food because no matter how much you change, those old habits will always be there.
[info]magli 1st-Dec-2009 06:03 pm (UTC)
Girl, weight loss can be permanent, don't be silly.
[info]youbeboy 1st-Dec-2009 06:11 pm (UTC)
Then why bother with the question.
[info]pahraydolliah 1st-Dec-2009 06:31 pm (UTC)
Thank you for posting this. 'Moving with joy' that is really a great way to describe it. When I intentionally tried to lose weight (running on the treadmill for an hour, that kind of stuff) it was a chore to keep the weight off. Now that I'm not really concerned with my weight, only trying to keep active and doing these activities with my boyfriend, the weight loss is negligible but I feel better about myself.
tl;dr thank you for validating me.. with SCIENCE!
[info]ugly_jacket 1st-Dec-2009 06:42 pm (UTC)
yeahhhhh, but i still REALLY wish i were thin
[info]wiserforthetime 1st-Dec-2009 09:04 pm (UTC)
eh there is a gray area in there. yes everyone has different 'natural weights' and metabolisms and i think jared is probably getting close to a more stable weight, but that does not mean that when he much larger and started his 'subway diet' that it was healthier than him changing his lifestyle habits and losing some weight.

moderation and acceptance is key but we all go crazy when it comes to food, weight and diet. sigh.
[info]voyevoda tl;dr from me, sorry1st-Dec-2009 09:54 pm (UTC)
At first I went "Whuh?" at this comment but reading your clarifications- I get what you mean.

Fad diets, things done with the mindset "I want to be thin, I want to weigh X number of pounds, I want a hot body!" are almost always doomed to failure because they're not real lifestyle changes. People get to that x weight and...stop. And back on comes the pounds. Nonstop cycle.

Whereas if you change your mindset, viewing it as 'getting fit, being healthy', putting a positive spin on it, doing exercise that is fun rather than a chore- THAT is what works and keeps it off. There is no quick-fix weight loss, and it's sad that when people finally realize that (after blowing money and time on things uselessly) they usually don't even try anymore. :(

Of course there are exceptions- my friend lost quite a bit of weight with Jenny Craig that he hasn't gained back. But he had the willpower to stick to that set dieting regime (not to mention the money for it) and most people don't. I know I sure as hell don't want to eat the cardboard cinammon sticks from JC when I could have half of a real one for 150 or whatever calories. =\
[info]roxi9 1st-Dec-2009 05:25 pm (UTC)
I read the title and thought it's about Jared Satan Leto and got scared -_-
