Rihanna will hit the airwaves on Thanksgiving evening (November 26) on Fuse in a new sit down interview with host Toure! The 21-year-old “Rated R” singer will speak about what she wanted to name her album, her style and finding flaws.
On her album title: “I actually wanted to name my album, Such a F—ing Lady, but a couple of stores, a couple of major outlets didn’t allow that… That was the title for a while, but Rated R made more sense because of the overall story. It’s a movie really, the album. But Such a F—ing Lady - we take everything back to that - especially in our style.”
On her personal style: “I like playing with the tough but not too tough, and being a lady but not too girlie because that’s not me. I kind of play on both. I like things a little twisted, a bit of a bad a– and a bit of lady. And you know, such a f—ing lady, no lady says ‘a f—ing lady’.”
On finding flaws: “There’s something that is never good enough. You never look in the mirror and say ‘yes, I’m perfect today’. It’s always like, okay I don’t have a pimple but my gut looks huge. Awesome. You always find a flaw. That’s what the mirror is there for, it’s very bad.”

I love that she said she didn't want to make another GGGB, because she didn't believe it was true artistry. She's so amazing~

anyway, i don't think it's under performing, tbh. they're saying it will have gggb-like first week sales which seem totally accurate. "russian roulette" is not as big as "umbrella", gggb's promotion > rr's promotion.
what's your take on it?
I was expecting 175-200k, so GGGB-like numbers are around that range---not really under-performing, imo. I'm not sure what the people who are calling this under-performing were expecting. RR isn't nearly as big as Umbrella, and combined with the depressed market, I don't know why Rated R would be expected to significantly outsell GGGB (if at all). But we'll see what HDD has to say later this week, in any case.
