In a recent high profile row, Ralph Lauren took flack for blatant outrageous Photoshopping of models. But this has not reformed the industry. Instead, magazines like W have simply decided to jam more false images of how people look down our throats. After all, who is to stop them?
Check out what it appears to be 26 year old Anja Rubik's superimposed body... scratch that - her body was attached to Demi Moores for the sake of a better cover image. You have to wonder, did Demi even wear the same Balmain dress?

YOU'VE BEEN PUNK'D: Demi Moore's Body Replaced By W Magazine

head fat creeps me the fuck out. asjkfldsjkfldsj
At least it's still Julia's body in the picture though.
That's fucked up-
I read a quote on another news site that W Magazine claimed that the photographers did nothing "out of the ordinary" during the shoot. I believe that, because it's not the photographers' jobs to have digital enhancement and retouching expertise. All they really needed to do was to get Demi in remotely similar poses as the Anja pictures in order to create that cover. Once a series of pictures are taken that have slightly different positional elements, superimposing is a fast task for any professional photo editor. When you have a series of photos like that, you can really create a whole new image from bits and pieces of other different photos with ease.
The things that really stick out to me in the Demi cover versus the Anja photos (particularly the first one) are certain muscle positions and body posture. Take a look at Demi's neck and left shoulder where the muscles are accentuated. Obviously parts of Demi's real neck have been slimmed, but overall, the neck/shoulder possess a higher "concentration" of Anja's neck than other areas of the body. Another thing that stands out is the left arm muscle tone and position. I would assume that the imaging experts in charge of the cover took certain aspects of Anja's arm (such as pre-existing shadows and natural sculpture) and layered it on to Demi's photo(s). This is a very common procedure for making photo subjects look thinner in certain areas, and some celebrities even demand it. The team at W Magazine, though, took it a little too far and thus made it quite obvious.
Anyway. Just my evaluation.
Thank you
