lol High and Dry
lol Walmart
lol Radiohead covers

eta: It's so easy to rile you guys up, I swear.
btw if you think Radiohead's boring, you just don't "get it." But there's this band that's called "Coldplay," they're probably more of...your thing.

I fully believe that is these dudes:

But it'd be adorable and weird if Disney stars covered them at Walmart.

by the title, I thought it was the jonas brothers covering some beatles song.
[info]shikinluv 16th-Nov-2009 02:19 pm (UTC)

THAT'S WHAT I WAS THINKING
[info]katesamaloo 16th-Nov-2009 04:05 pm (UTC)
I know! I got scared when I saw the title and then calmed down when it wasn't a Beatles song.
[info]adamsdramedy 16th-Nov-2009 04:30 pm (UTC)
I hate The Beatles and I hate Radiohead.

...Now that I think about it, I don't really have any favourite bands because I don't listen to bands.
[info]chung_____chung 16th-Nov-2009 05:55 pm (UTC)
they don't exist

high and dry would be her favorite radiohead song.
[info]beingabotch22 16th-Nov-2009 04:18 pm (UTC)
why are people so "she WOULD love High and Dry"

what's wrong with that song? :(
[info]chung_____chung 16th-Nov-2009 05:58 pm (UTC)
the band never wanted to do it, their label made them. they have basically disavowed the song, won't play it live. thom says he doesn't even feel like its him singing the song
[info]lingail140 16th-Nov-2009 02:17 pm (UTC)
Jamie Cullum actually did a really nice cover of High & Dry for one of his albums a few years back. It's not impossible.
[info]skippylikes 16th-Nov-2009 03:29 pm (UTC)
Jamie Cullum isnt a souless 16 year old product tho. He's done a lot of really great covers. He doesnt have the greatest range but his tone is amazing and he has soul. I love him.
[info]mac7u3 16th-Nov-2009 09:40 pm (UTC)
Lovez me some Jamie Cullum
[info]numbereleven 16th-Nov-2009 02:17 pm (UTC)
Oh, whatever dude. She's a teenage girl, wearing modest clothing. She's playing an instrument, and she likes a great band. We want to rip her apart, why?
[info]patbjorke 16th-Nov-2009 02:19 pm (UTC)
Because she's trying to cover something that's associated with my lord and savior, Thomus Christ.
[info]catnipss88 16th-Nov-2009 02:27 pm (UTC)
not gaga?
[info]miwa201 16th-Nov-2009 03:46 pm (UTC)

[info]lingail140 16th-Nov-2009 02:19 pm (UTC)
logic does not belong on ONTD!
[info]sapphire908 16th-Nov-2009 02:26 pm (UTC)
Because it's ONTD if at least some of us didn't try to rip her apart, we wouldn't be us?
[info]greatloyalty 16th-Nov-2009 02:31 pm (UTC)
GTFO with your rational thinking!

BYE!
[info]tehlime 16th-Nov-2009 03:40 pm (UTC)
I see your problem. You're using LOGIC.

Seriously though, mte.
[info]pikapika217 16th-Nov-2009 03:42 pm (UTC)
you, I like
[info]tiddlywinks103 16th-Nov-2009 04:02 pm (UTC)

[info]lovegia 16th-Nov-2009 05:15 pm (UTC)
agreed.

but then, i remembered where i was and all of my logic magically faded away lol.
[info]redcurry 16th-Nov-2009 02:19 pm (UTC)
no.
[info]imemine69 16th-Nov-2009 02:20 pm (UTC)
I have not watched this, and I do not know who this is, but AS SOON AS SOMEONE FUCKS WITH RADIOHEAD THEY'RE PUT ON MY HITLIST.

Also, Walmart? Seriously?
[info]neaira 16th-Nov-2009 02:25 pm (UTC)
I'm surprised Prince hasn't made Youtube take this down yet.
[info]danisse 16th-Nov-2009 03:08 pm (UTC)
Funny you should mention that. Prince actually did have YouTube take this down. Then Radiohead had them put it back up again, since it's their song. http://www.techdirt.com/articles/20080530/1507241271.shtml

ilu, Prince, and everything, but c'mon.
[info]ohgeekchic 16th-Nov-2009 03:49 pm (UTC)
I think Prince is much more of a creep than Thom Yorke.
[info]bloodbelieve 16th-Nov-2009 02:20 pm (UTC)
I dislike the majority of covers, in general. That said, I reserve judgement on this one because I refuse to even click play.
[info]nimago 16th-Nov-2009 02:22 pm (UTC)
that wasn't too horrible...it's like watching open mike night or some shit.
[info]fuckthediet 16th-Nov-2009 02:23 pm (UTC)
Oh whatever. It's actually a good little teenie bopper cover.

Radiohead music snobs are the worst of all... well perhaps not as bad as smiths/morissey ones.
[info]patbjorke 16th-Nov-2009 02:37 pm (UTC)
Being a Radiohead music snob is what I live for.
That, and ~the fame fame baby the fame~
[info]kurarisa 16th-Nov-2009 05:10 pm (UTC)
I would respond to the comments further down this thread but

eh, what's the point.
[info]acidillusion 16th-Nov-2009 02:44 pm (UTC)

[info]purple_proseur 16th-Nov-2009 02:57 pm (UTC)
Ikr? Especially love the "BLASPHEMY!" comments from those who didn't even listen to it. Then again maybe I'm just more tolerant of it because I love Radiohead and covers, and I tend not to go for judgemental wankery.
[info]sapporonoodles seriously16th-Nov-2009 03:36 pm (UTC)
i was gonna say.

i don't like what i've managed to let myself hear of emily osment's music. her voice is overproduced and made to sound poppy. i was actually pleasantly surprised when i clicked on this because i was like DAMN girl has some PIPES.

i guess i ~don't listen to radiohead enough~. radiohead fans are worse than gaga fans. i've never heard a radiohead song that i've really been able to differentiate from another.
