Because it is. Only the top 17 floors are residential, the rest are either hotel rooms or resort rooms. And it looks like they couldn't access pictures of any of the residential suites so they just booked a room on like the 4th floor and went to town with the camera.

What a shitty hotel to take pictures of, too. The Sandman Suites on Davie look way nicer than the Wall Centre.

I actually think this is true. I remember one interview where he said he rarely found himself attracted to people, so I guess when it happens for him, it's a pretty big thing.
